Very Satisfied
Very straightforward, sweet & simple and works as advertised. We have dozens of older types of memory cards that we had no way to see what was on them, let alone be able to save the pictures & videos. This product remedies that and has a port for nearly all, (if not ALL) types and sizes of memory cards. It feels extremely lightweight and as though maybe it's not very "quality", BUT it does exactly what you need it to do!Just plug the device into your computer, insert the memory card into the correct slot of this device and you're in business!Definitely recommend this!

Works Fine
I bought this reader so my parents wouldn't need to keep bugging me to bring my cardreader to them and upload photos from their camera to the computer. So far, my purchase has not rectified this situation, though I hardly think that is because of the reader itself. This reader works as advertised, at least as far as I can tell -- considering I would need at least ten more different types of memory cards/sticks to test all the slots. No extra software or drivers needed in Windows XP or Mac OSX 10.5 and data transfer rates are fine. The use of the ubiquitous mini-plug USB cable reduces my fear of losing and having to replace the cable. My only disappointments in this product are small gripes. I would have liked to see a metal casing, instead of a plastic housing (which should not pose a problem to the average consumer) for durability's sake. And I also would appreciate the inclusion of an indicator LED into the reader. I have a cheap card reader that has one such LED and it's nice to know that the device is connected and powered or transferring data. These are small things, so unless you take major issue with either, the device does a fine job.

IOGear 56-in-1 vs Kingston Media Reader
Needed two readers for two PC's. Could not decide on the IOGear 56-in-1 or the Kingston Media Reader. Both about the same price and with mostly good reviews. So, I bought both. Both do the job, but the IOGear is better. Why: IOGear is a simple design with easy access ports and a mini-USB port (cable supplied). Kingston has a silly sliding insert design that serves no benefit and a VERY short, near useless, full-size USB cable built in (comes with extension). IOGear comes with very useful little download application that labels each port as to card type in Explorer. No such application with the Kingston. Both are essentially the same size. In principle, the IOGear handles more card types, but that may just be a type-counting difference. Both work well, but the IOGEAR is a more polished design at same price.

All in One Reader/Writer
This little reader is very convenient and easy to use. After I purchased a printer that would read but not write to memory cards I was disappointed in the printer - but this little reader is great for transferring files from my memory cards as well as transferring files to memory cards like for my digital photo frame. Works great so far! I thought at a reasonable price too!March 2016 - So the original one died, it stopped reading, but for the price and getting over 5 solid years of use made it a reasonable choice yet again! So I am on #2.

Retrieved photos I thought I had lost forever!
This comes packaged nicely with clear directions and needed USB Cable (Type A-mini B). I cannot attest to it working for 56 different cards. I can attest to it working perfectly for the following: Sony Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick ProDuo, Sandisk SDHC Card, and micro SD Cards. I just plugged in the cable to this reader and to my computer and it transferred all images flawlessly. I had a micro SD card in my phone that I had used in two different phones and had never been able to transfer the images to my computer. Some of these images were two years old. I had forgotten about some of them. This reader picked up all data from over 51 images and transferred them perfectly.I would highly recommend this reader.

Nice inexpensive card reader
Does the job what I needed it to do: Read a Memory Stick, a Micro SD card from my phone, and a Compact Flash card. You need to carefully insert the cards into the correct position to make sure your card lines up with the pins in the slot of the reader. I'm very happy with this reader for the price I paid for it.

Works as designed, like the ID utility
Well, it does exactly what it is supposed to, reads my SD and microSD cards with ease. The cards do fit a bit tight, but it is brand new and I imagine it will get some play in there after a while. I do like the drive ID utility you can download from the IOGEAR website, it gives a name and a little picture to the drives, otherwise you have like 6 blank drives with only letters to identify them in my computer. Overall it does whats expected, and doesn't look to bad either.

Does not work!
First off, I hate computers! That being said, this product is one reason why! My computer does not recognize the item even after I installed the driver five times. In fairness, it did work one time but has not worked since; I re-install the driver each time I try to use it and it still does not recognize the device. I bought a rip-off cheapo copy of the item for two fifty plus shipping and it worked right out of the package; it is so easy to use I use it instead of the IOGEAR. I did contact the IOGEAR folks and they were sympathetic and offered to replace my defective one but alas, I never received it! Kinda difficult to give it even one star!
