Have had my fish 8 x 15 4ft deep pond for over 3 years and is always struggling keeping clear water and free from turning green, and when I got the clear water, would only last for a short time. I placed the bag of bio-balls in my water fall reservoir where all the water will cycled through and within 24 hours noticed the water to begin to clear. Since the purchase of these bio-ball a month ago, my pond water has been clear and I also notice the poly mesh filter in my skimmer needs to be cleaned a lot less. Item was received as expected. Got a bag and all the bio-balls to fill it. Just wish it was a little more affrodable BUT if the quality and life of these is good i'll consider it a good investment. Hopefully i'll remember to update this post a year from now and provide an update :)

I don't usually write reviews of products...But this time I feel obligated to. I am simply amazed by how fast these bio balls cleared out my pond. From mucky water, not being able to see the fish, let alone the bottom of a 4 foot deep pond, to crystal clear water in 24 hours! I used 960 of these balls total. Absolutely amazing! These are very sturdy balls, look like they will last a lifetime.

They filter. They're in a bag. They work as described. I have a submerged in a pond that I use these with. I seem to get a lot of debris and dirt because of the fish and the trees around the pond. I use a mesh bag around the pump which I then insert into the bag these balls come with and fill the gap with the bio balls. I used to have to clean the pump and bag every few days and now I can go weeks!

Took a chance with these after some mixed reviews and am still awaiting results.Should have ordered a smaller size for my 150 gallon pond as this was much more then I expected and after only several days cannot tell any help. I really feel Amazon should wait a month before asking for a review on items like this which need more then three days for an honest and concise opinion.

Why, why, why didn't we know about these balls sooner? They are lightweight and work so much better cleaning the water in our waterfall. We have a 55 foot stream that dumps into a 10x12x1 foot pond and these balls keep the water clear and beautiful. My dad told us to get lava rock, which is heavy, messy, and hard to clean. I am so glad we found these balls and used them instead!

After fighting with algae in pond for a long while and trying many different possible solutions I purchased these. Saw instant results. We will be putting in a fountain and I will be purchasing these for it. Will save me from months of headaches.
