Going strong for One Year. A quality product.
General LED Lamps Information -Efficiency of LED lamps is well known compared to traditional filament lamps and CFLs. Good quality ones have longer life too. Don't go with cheap quality Rs 50 or less Chinese bulbs selling in local electricity shops and road side. Those are poorly built with cheap components and printed circuit boards and wires. They typically won't last more than a week or month and cheap LEDs and other parts burn out. Go with branded ones which use good LEDs, wires, PCB (Printed Circuit Board) , good size mental heat sink (you can also compare the weight) and good material on the body / case of the bulb. LED bulbs have head sink (mostly attached to or part of the PCB on which LEDs are soldered). Part of electricity gets converted to light and part to heat and this heat needs to be transferred to environment and that is why LED lamps need to have good heat sink. To reduce cost cheap LED lamps either don't put a heat sink or put a very small low cost heat sink. Some times heat sink is designed as part of the PCB itself.Eveready B22 Base 7 Watt Bulb -Coming to these specific LED bulbs from Eveready. I am happy with these bulbs.I purchased set of these two beginning of August 2016 and both the bulbs are still working well in July 2017 after every day use in my apartment. They have survived voltage dips and also switchover between mains and a backup generator power. Far better experience than CFL lamps which rarely lasted more than 6 to 8 months and brightness used to reduce over time.A good 7 watts bulb is good enough to light up moderate size room or a rest room.Note that LED bulbs are bright and directly viewing them may not be comfortable and being a small size almost a point light source will cast shadows in room if not covered by a lamp shade or cover. If used behind a lamp shade or cover it will diffuse the light for a more pleasant experience but overall brightness that you get will reduce. So go for wattage and lumens selection based on your choice and preferences in terms of how much light you may need.

Great value for money bulbs - cuts current usage
Overall Purchase Feedback:This has been one happy purchase for me I got it in a lightning deal. Not much of savings. I am happy with the quality of the LED bulbsBuild Quality:The build quality is not that great but it is really good value for money. At Rs. 100 I get an LED bulb of 7 w that is good enough for the entrance.I was worried a little bit about the heat sink but so far so good. Will update my feedback based on the usage. The bundle:I am very happy that I get 4 AA batteries that is worth close to 40 rupees free with the bulbs.Brightness:Do not expect too much brightness out of these 7 w bulbs. approximately 400-500 lumens. It is not enough in a room or for any large area. I am using it as my entrance lights - replacing 15w CFL lamps. This helps cut my usage by more than half.Purchase experience:the overall purchase experience is pretty good. The delivery was quite good and I got them without any damage. I checked them for quite a few days before I was sure that there was no damage. With LED bulbs , you can never be sure. If you are buying them online, always give them a week and test them. there are good chances of failure.Things to watch out for:- Heat sink - This is not the best build quality. Always make sure that the bulbs dont operate in a confined space.- Brightness - These bulbs are not bright enough for a small room. make sure to use them only where you need really little brightness.- Faults - There is a 20% chance that your bulbs could be faulty. Watch out for usage in the first week.

Hope this helps !!
After a reviewer claimed that as this eveready LED has 0.5 PF and hence we will be charged double of the mentioned wattage but a couple other reviews contradicted him. Hence I googled this a bit and this is the best answer I got. Hope it helps others who were as confused as me !!“Power factor is the ratio between real power and apparent power. Real power is how much power the load is actually using and apparent power is the product of how much current is flowing and the Voltage. Real power is measured in Watts, and apparent power is measured in Volt Amps (VA). If you think back to when you learned about electricity fundamentals, you might remember that current (Amps) times Voltage equals Watts. This is true for a direct current system and it is also true for an alternating current system with a power factor of 1.0. An old fashioned incandescent light bulb, due to being a purely resistive load, has a power factor of 1.0. However, many electrical devices including LED and CFL light bulbs have power factors less than 1.0. What this means is that while they might be rated at 13 Watts real power, they will draw more current than you would suspect. Assuming a 120V system, 13 Watts should require approximately .11 Amps (120V*.11A = ~13W). In reality, a typical LED light bulb has a power factor of .6 (and as low as .2 or less!). This means that the apparent power of the bulb is more like ~22VA (13Watt/.6 power factor). Remembering that apparent power is current * volts you can find that with a .6 power factor this bulb is using ~.18 Amps. The good news is that residential power meters typically measure real power and not apparent power…for now. This means that you are charged by the kWh and not Volt Amp hour. However, utilities are now beginning to install “smart meters” that are capable of measuring your home’s overall power factor (the average power factor of all connected loads) and charging you accordingly. For now, it seems like you are in the clear and you can trust the numbers printed on your bulb’s packaging.”Ordered thus product for 274/- & 215/- for 7w & 5w respectively. This is my first experience with LED bulbs and following are me observationsPros:- Biggest plus is price factor. Cheapest amongst reputed brands.- 100 Lumens/watt is excellent. Light is bright enough and is sufficient.- In a small room there is no observable difference between 7w & 5w but in a bigger room one can notice the extra 2w.- Cool day light gives a nice shade but don’t know if it is better or worse than other brands having same shade. But am happy with this.- B22 base hence no modifications required.- I was using 15w CFL and this 5w certainly gives equivalent brightness.7w a bit more.Cons:- On the site it is mentioned that it offers 30months warranty from packaging or 24 months from invoice date whichever is lower but there is no warranty card or any mention on the package. So I don’t know what to do if the bulb fails in warranty period. Amazon should clearly mention this in the product page. (One star reduction for that)VERDICT – LEDs are the future. They are getting cheaper. They last longer, more power efficient. Time to replace the CFLs.PS – Attaching a few pictures of markings.
