For BMW, ignore their proprietary 10pin connector & head for the red 3 pin buried back against the underside of the windshield after you remove the plastic cover. Needle nose pliers made it easy to pull out.I found it helpful to disconnect the black 10pin so I had room to work, simply plug it back in after you've confirmed functionality through the 3 pin.It took a little bit of trying to Nestle all of the components back under the plastic cover, but it works. I snipped two of the plastic bars on the bottom of the driver's side cover to allow the plug to snake through to power the dash cam (see pic).I've probably purchased 10 Dongar connectors over the years for various cars and various friends cars that I gifted dash cams. They make things SO easy compared to back in the day when I would tap into the wiring of the rear view mirror.I'm going to guess that this works for all of the BMWs with powered mirrors in this "generation" of design, which seems to be 2014-2018, but do your own homework. Mine is a 2017 F26 X4 M40i.I will continue to be a customer of this company, great product, great price, makes things easy and convenient. 5 stars all day.

Installed this on my 2025 BMW i4. It was a bit scary taking off the plastic housing for the rear view mirror, but I watched a YouTube video and took it slow. It does not require much force to do, I made sure to be careful because I have a lease.This powered my Vantrue E1 Pro perfectly and the wires are very minimal. I snaked through the small wire from the plastic housing.

Worked for BMW 3 series and able to power dashcam with a seamless look. Easy to install and clean finish.

I love the Dongar dash camera cables. I have one in my 2002 Harley Davidson truck, one in my 2024 M2 and one in my 2021 M2. It eliminates the ugly cable plugged into the cigarette lighter.

The media could not be loaded. Was scared to buy this item since it had with no reviews, but it worked out great. It doesn’t take up much space and it is light so it should not fall off. I’ll update on durability if I have any issues. I Installed it on a 2020 BMW M5.
