The optical input on my AV amp failed, so I tried this.
There really isn't a lot to go wrong with this. You put in an optical digital signal and you get out an analogue stereo signal. As it happened the optical digital input on my AV amp had failed. I tested this item in an attempt to give me back an optical input, by going back to analogue and feeding it into the AV amp via 2x phonos. It did work, although oddly I had a sync issue. I suspect this might be adjustable. If you're just using this to hook up (say) a minidisc to a non-digital amp, this should be just fine.

Pretty effective
I had a devices similar to this one before to put my TV through my Stereo speakers. It wasnโt great and actually introduced a lot of noise especially when the audio stream stopped from the source device.I thought it was time to try again and this time I am very happy.there is no noise introduction, connection is very straightforward and the audio clear. There also is a volume control which would be useful as a cheap preamp for an optical device to a power amp. Not all that useful in my case but there nevertheless. My only gripe would be the length of the supplied toshlink cable. As the RCA cable length is fixed, it would have been nice to have a slightly longer one as generally TVโs are stationed away from other stereo parts. Other than that a simple and effective DAC.

Brilliant for downloading to Minidisc
Ordered this to copy my music from various sources to Minidisc (yes- that awesome 90s format that won't die). The interface box is compact and well labelled with the connections clearly marked. The interface also has a volume control, allowing you to equalize the sound if the source is a little quiet. Connectivity is easy with a TOSlink socket for optical cable, with a hard wired dual phono connection on the output end. Have moved a fair bit of music over to my MDs and happy with the results. Highly recommended.

Esynic Portable Optical to RCA Converter
This product was sent to me to review, as part of Amazon Vine. Below is my own real-world experience of using it.In terms of quality, each component is fairly robust, with a finish of a good standard. My only complaint about some of the cables (especially the power cord), is that theyโre on the short side, making placement a little more difficult.Setting the adapter up is straightforward, thanks to the clear and easy to understand instructions. Within a few minutes, I had connected my games console to my stereo system, with no issues at all, and the audio output was excellent - clear and well-balanced.Overall, a good value kit.
