ACTUALLY works!
So, I ordered 2 bamboo cordless privacy blinds from Amazon in which the raising mechanism broke immediately. I couldn't return them as they were custom sizes and they wouldn't offer me a solution. It was very frustrating. Instead I decided to DIY a raising option which included this motor, a piece of PVC pipe, roller shade end caps and 3 screws. The Bamboo shade I was hoping to raise is over 10lbs (it is 5'x6'). After ordering 2 other motors that didn't have the power to raise the shade, I ran across this one and it is awesome! The directions are a little confusing, but it works GREAT!It doesn't clearly state this anywhere on the listing, so I found out the hard way...you need to ALSO order a battery pack (or power cord) to power the motor. These are not included.
