Bought this for work so we had a clock and radio in one of the rooms we use and it does what it says! The sound isn’t terrible and it tells time! Easy to read display and the additional USB charging point has come in handy quite a few times! Highly recommend!

Purchased 2 clocks they work great, no problem with volume as other posts stated. Would have been a 5 if not for the next paragraph.Only issue was both clocks the backup batteries were dead and had to be replaced, therefore the automatic time, date and day of the week did not work when plugged in, so I had to manually set those functions, but it forced me to read the directions and learn how all of the functions work. Setting the alarm was easy.

It will help if you are good with tech things because a lot of technology went into this and I can’t believe these only cost $15.Nice unit and the sound is very good.Relatively easy to set up with all the things it does. Also perfect size for alarm clock radio.Does not pick up radio stations where I am located but ok.I would recommend this alarm clock radio .

It would have been the perfect dressing room clock, but I was asking too much of it. Yes, it was supposed to provide an attractive but minimalist digital display, which it did, but I went overboard expecting it to automatically keep the time and the correct day of the week accurately, especially since this was an advertised selling feature. I purchased this clock about a year ago; presently it’s saying that it’s 8:24 AM SUN. Who would ever guess that per every other clock, news station, and calendar in the house, it was actually around 9:24 AM on a TUES. And yes, because the clock is supposed to set itself, I tried unplugging several times to reset it; didn’t work. The day of the week has never been accurate since I purchased it, and I’ve never been able to figure out how to manually change that feature, so I just decided to live with it. But after waking today and finding that the time feature is corrupted as well…..that’s enough for me. This product is a complete failure. It is aesthetically pleasing, but can you count on it to work properly? I’m very disappointed. I didn’t expect a brand like Emerson, who’s been around for years, to produce such mechanical junk.

This is not a radio controlled clock or RRC. If the battery is dead, you will need to manually adjust the clock. It will not automatically correct itself for the time and date.

I've had an Emerson Smart-set clock-radio-CD player for many years but recently it developed functional issues making it intermittently undependable so I decided to look for a newer model. I chose this one because of it's clean lines combined with the easy to read, brightness adjustable blue digital display. While I no longer have any need for a CD player, or an O.T.A. radio, I want the radio's functionality in the event I need it at some point so this clock-radio hits the spot for me. The only issue I've had with this device was when I set it up for the first time. It didn't initially detect my time-zone or set itself to the correct time, not even after inserting a backup battery (not included) so I had to set those up manually. While this was not an issue for me, it is contrary to the advertised behavior so I must describe the device as not being in compliance with what's advertised. Based on that, buyer beware, but if the initial set-up functionality is not an issue for you and you want a great looking clock, you should consider this one.Ernie

The features and pictures make it sound good, but in reality this is a cheap clock and the unit I received didn't even work properly.The smart-set feature, which is one of the critical features for me, simply didn't work at all. The unit arrived and its low battery light was flashing right out of the box. The radio reception was terrible. Overall, it has a cheap, lightweight feel to it.I had high hopes but you get what you pay for. Thank goodness for free returns.
