Value for money.
Some, if not most, filter foams are not fine enough for very small particles. They do a great job of removing larger particles so I use this in the unit and in conjunction after the water has passed through the coarse foam.You get alot for the price and it is washable so I just wash it along with the coarse foam in aquarium water (obviously) to maintain the bio-fauna and reuse it until it gets too messy.I had "new aquarium syndrome" due to disturbed plant substrate media and a little algal/bacterial bloom and this "wool" cleared the small particles within 24hrs.

This a very good and lasts forever.
I have had this for a few months and change my filter once per week. It is a small filter but this stuff still seems to be full. Really good value for money.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO HELP CREATE CRYSTAL CLEAR WATER
You only need the smallest amont per use and as long as you place this as the last stage of any other mechanical media and before biological, this will give crystal clear water for any aquarium.I am using this in Goldfish,community tropical, reef and Terrapin aquariums. I also use this to remove algae from the aquarium sides both glass and acrylic.
