Why did you pick this product vs others?:TBH bought as a prop for out home pub and turns out to be super well made and sturdy. This is now ALSO getting used on rainy days. Has tons of ribs and is very sturdy.

Great umbrella for the price. It holds up well, opens with ease, snaps shut easily, too. The color (mine is yellow) is vibrant.

Perfect. Good size and lovely plaid.

Heavier, I do love it. Great umbrella but - for me, a little too long to use as a cane. Didn't figure that.

While in an old-school mood, I bought a very expensive British-made umbrella. Then, after having it for two or three weeks, I left it at a bus stop, never to be seen again. So I did what any sensible person without much money would do: I bought another one. That one, I still have, albeit without the strap that keeps the canopy neatly wrapped around the staff because that strap was poorly sewn on and fell off at some point without my noticing until it was long gone (you don't always get quite what you pay for).After digging the old-school vibe for a little while, I realized old-school can be a pain in the tuckus. After using my friend's Gustbuster umbrella that you can open with one hand by pushing a button with your thumb, I saw what a nuisance it is to have to open an umbrella the old way, with two hands, and I bought one of these umbrellas, put my expensive British umbrella with the missing strap in my umbrella stand, and have not really used it since.This umbrella has a plastic handle that looks like real wood in place of the more expensive umbrella's real wood handle, and this umbrella does not have a pretty silver plate on the handle with the name of the manufacturer engraved in it. And I don't miss either of these things, because this umbrella I can open with one hand by pressing a button with my thumb, and that is worlds better than having to open your umbrella with two hands.

It’s a very nice umbrella. Classy looking and well made. Definitely worth it.
