Good value
Here's the TL;DR review:It's cheap. It works. Here's the longer review: We have a couple of robot vacuums that pretty much do...whatever it is they do. My wife has a ridiculously large furball of a mainecoon. Keeping up with his shedding takes effort. A LOT of effort. That's why we have the roombas running all the time. Problem is, they can't keep up...and they can ONLY vacuum the floor. But they keep up well enough to where as long as they run, we can get away with not vacuuming multiple times per day. Adding to this problem: our vacuum broke about two months ago. If Terminator ever comes true, the solution to the robot apocalypse is mainecoon cat shedding in a version of a drawn out war of attrition. The cats will win, every time. Our robots were losing the war. I got tired of reading vacuum reviews and getting stuck in analysis paralysis and just decided to order *something* as a stop gap until I finally found something I was confident enough in to spend some money to order. This was the cheapest one I saw that wasnt a "Shark" version, and generally Amazon Basics stuff is fine, so I ordered it.For what I spent, and for the amount of hair it picked up on the first pass? I'm absolutely, 100% over the moon happy with it.That said, downsides:It's feels pretty cheap. Kinda like a toy vacuum you would buy for a 5 year old or something, except it actually works (well). The hose is SHORT. Like really short. I probably let loose more than one obscenity about this fact when I was vacuuming the couch. Works well, just have to move the vacuum quite a bit...which is slightly annoying to do when you remove the handle from the vacuum to attach it to the hose. Design decision that is BOTH a feature AND a bug.The width of the vacuum is narrow. Depending on your use case this may not be a big deal, but if your house is large you will kinda feel like you are mowing a football field with the tiniest of tiny push mowers instead of an industrial deck mower. So, really happy with the purchase. Still looking for a more permanent solution, but I'll probably end up leaving this vacuum in a closet upstairs if for no other reason than to vacuum the stairs with it. It's really light, and REALLY has a lot of suction power.

Worth the price of admission!
I'd like to preface this By saying that I don't write a lot of reviews. And I read all the reviews on this machine Before I decided to make the purchase. I want you to know that I am in no way disappointed. This item is wonderful. I'm 63 year-old plus woman And my typical vacuum Is very heavy. This machine is not The entire package was 11 lbs. I know some of the reviewers stated the profile of it was small the width of the Vacuum area. But it's absolutely perfect for stairs and my staircase which I have struggled with. It has so much suction just like many reviewers stated it's amazing It's almost embarrassing what it pulled out of the carpet and floor. It does look like a toy when you take it out of the box. And the idea of putting something together almost put me off. But that's as simple as putting the handle into the machine itself and connecting the suction hose. But this is an awesome awesome vacuum. And if you're wavering it on the fence I would tell you certainly not To wait. By it I will be coming back for more I'd like 1 in every I will be coming back for more frankly I'd like 1 in every single room. My only complaint and you need to be aware of is the cord length it's about 25'And for me it's a little short I had to move it around from plug to plug. But beyond that I highly recommend this machine I'm truly impressed and I didn't think I would be. But the other reviewers are not wrong. This is an awesome machine!

Just as good as more expensive vacuums!
The product is lightweight, has great storage capacity, the suction power is just as good as way more expensive vacuums (trust me I've had everything!) It was easy to put together and it seems to have great quality and power! The only thing that I do not like is that the power cord is not as long as I would like it to be so I have to stop and unplug frequently.

this thing SUCKS (as it should)
I bought this for my college apartment and let me tell you, it SUCKS everything out of these old carpets — and I mean that in the best way. It even pulls up the matted sections in high-traffic areas like doorways or under rolling office chairs, making the carpet not look all janky.I've compared it side-by-side with a wired Dyson my roommate has (the one with the weird ball thing in the middle), and this vacuum is now our primary vacuum. Don’t waste your money on a Bissell, Dyson, or anything else — they’re seriously onto something with this one.As a college student, I didn’t think I’d ever get excited enough to write a review about a vacuum, but honestly, I feel like it’s my duty. This is hands down the best value vacuum I could find, and it just works.Even the dust container doesn't need to be emptied constantly (though I do recommend emptying it after every use so it doesn’t look nasty if guests ever open a closet and sees it).good luck on your carpet sucking journey :)

Astounding vacuum!
I am amazed by this little not major league vacuum. I’ve tried three big big name vacuums on my black shag carpet and they couldn’t even pick up surface particles. I mean vacuums you see when you google too vacuums. I was going to immediately just send this back without even opening it because I thought no way is this little off brand vacuum going to work. Something told me to at least give it a chance. The assembly-well there basically is none you just snap the handle on. I just recently wallpapered so there were tiny slivers of wallpaper stuck in the carpet. My granddaughter was eating a rice cake so pieces of that was stuck in the carpet as well. Like I said the other 3 didn’t touch the stuck items. This one amazingly did. I am a very diligent sweeper. I want even the tiniest speck up and with it being black that’s a chore. I do have to go back and forth very slowly but it is so worth the time it takes to get it clean!I know I will use it every single day.I absolutely love it and recommend it!!
