Great, powerful, light drill
I recently started upgrading my tools, and I wanted another drill in conjuction with my DeWalt hammer drill. This drill is light, it's powerful, it gets the job done and the price was just right when I bought it. Highly recommended!

Seems like a great drill.
So far, it’s a great deal! But I thought it was odd that it arrived in an envelope. The drill was not in a box just in a clear bag inside of an Amazon envelope.

Love dewalt!
I've used dewalt for many years. This drill works great. Recently drilled out about 50 holes up to 1/2.Used 1 battery. It's strong and compact.

No good
I have thousands in Dewalt tools. Never had a warranty issue. I bought 2 of these drills, both turn backward before going forward when the switch is pressed. I called warranty and they wanted me to drive 4 hrs to a repair place or ship them. I bought 2 new Milwaukee drills on sale at home depot. I'm done with Dewalt and can't wait to replace all of it.

No Box, But That's OL
I try to write my reviews with information I would want if I was considering a purchase, so here goes... I'd read several reviews stating that the writers had received drills that were obviously not NEW; no box, photocopied manuals, missing parts and scratches and fingerprints on the tools. Afterward, they had trouble with the sellers when they tried to get the NEW product they thought they were paying for. To try to avoid such issues, I decided to spend a few dollars more and choose the seller with the highest satisfaction rating and fulfillment and shipping by Amazon, believing that if something is supposed to be new, they'd ensure that it is and even if something did go wrong it would be much easier to resolve through Amazon. My process seems to have been right. The drill I received did not come in the standard yellow DeWalt box, but is otherwise BRAND NEW in a factory-sealed and labelled plastic bag with the tool itself in bubble wrap (no scratches or fingerprints), an original manual (in its own sealed bag) and the belt clip and attachment screw in the little sealed zip-lock bag it's supposed to come in. I ban EASILY live without the box, especially since it would cost $43+ more at a big-box store and will be thrown away in a few weeks anyway. No cardboard box is worth $43.As for the drill itself, it's terrific! I'm not a pro, just a homeowner. I've had a B&D 3/8" drill for years and it works fine but it doesn't have the power and torque this one does, some of my drill bit won't fit in it and it's longer than this one, sometimes making it difficult or impossible to get into tight spaces. By the way, don't believe the stated width in the specs - this tool is REALLY only 2.4" wide. I also have a DeWalt Atomic impact driver that will remove and attach lug nits and put a screw right through two pieces of 2X pressure-treated lumber if you're not careful but I don't always need THAT much power and torque, so for quicky household tasks this little 1/2" drill/driver is going to do just fine.Hope all this helps someone.

Well made, BUT !!!
GOOD: compact, has power & well made.FAIR: the light is simple, not powerful, aimed a bit wrong & minimal at best.Other drills, with settable lights: MUCH better in EVERY way & worth spending a bit more money on.
