Readings are accurate. Easy to calibrate and use. It includes everything you need: calibration solution, lancets, test strips, and monitor. Also comes with a little bag to carry items and a notebook to note your measurements. Instructions are easy to follow. You have to hold the monitor attached to test strips directly vertical to your finger to draw blood. If you hold it slightly horizontal, it gives an error reading. It took me a while to figure that out first couple of times. It would have been helpful for seller to post a how to use video.

Directions are clear on usage if you read carefully. The carrying case is handy but not sure where to put the lancets which come in their own box. Setting the date and time worked out (again read directions carefully) Once I got it all set up the procedure was easy, and the readout showed up quickly.

This meter says it is within the ISO Standards of +/- 15%. My husband took it to his medical appointment and they were happy to compare it to their medical grade meter. On the medical meter his fasting number was 89. On this meter it was 98. That's 9 points difference. Since this was in the acceptable +/- 15% allowed, it was fine. We will just note it on our manual. It's easy to use and uses a smaller sample than our last meter. Love that it comes with a case. What would make the case better is that the mesh pocket had a zipper. Anything we put in it just falls back out. You can put a lot of readings into the memory which is great to look back on. The price was right for what we got. I spent a lot of time comparing and this one was my final choice. Love that there is no more coding (been a while since I bought a meter but the last one required coding). Comes with everything you need to get started.

I ordered the 1st kit in march, I put in the battery myself everything was new, clean and accounted for. The second kit i got a couple months later to have a back up in my tornado shelter and the glucose meter had the batter already placed inside and was missing the Lance's. I didn't notice until I was going through my supplies during a storm prep so it's been a few weeks since I received it. Check your kits immediately. It's a great set otherwise for the price

this arrived yesterday so i didn't eat anything after 8pm last night and tested myself this morning at 8am. the device showed a 110, which i much higher than i expected. so i tossed that strip, inserted a new needle and tested a different finger. that showed 99. thinking this is useless, i repeated the process and got a score of 93. i called the company. they said that those readings are within the acceptable variance range of plus or minus 15%. but to make certain, the rep walked me through the steps of testing the meter with the control solution. the test showed a reading of 133. when we looked at the bottle of strips, it shows that a reading between 114-154 is normal. that is crazy! 114 is considered to be normal for an adult over 50 but a 154 is full blown diabetic! there must be a better option than this meter...though none of the testers on amazon appear to be reliable according to the reviews
