This thing works great and I really have no complaints .It can be used with a spare battery. Truthfully you don't need batteries at all but if you want it to work in a power outage then you need the batteries.Setup is pretty straight forward. Set up is done through WiFi. Once set up the app is very easy to use.Each portion is quite small which I think is good because it allows you to tune the serving size. You can do up to 12 servings at a time which would be good for any sixe dog or cat other than a Great Dane or equivalent. Even then, you could just set up 2 feeding events back to back and give up to 24 servings total.

honestly this is one of my best purchases everything came how i expected it and it’s easy to work with but i had some difficulty trying to set it up.it works with wifi through a app called smart life, it is very neat and offers you to put out portions on the app or physically and you could also set time feeding which i love about it .you dont have to worry about anything it comes with the device a plug and a wire i would 100 recommend it if you’re an out going person or you will go on a trip.

I was happy with it but it stopped working 6 weeks after getting it.Everything was fine, I liked it, but suddenly it got disconnected from the app. I've tried everything to re-establish the connection, even reinstalled the app, but it's not working. In the app it says that my phone isn't connected to the Wifi, though it obviously is. So seems to be a software issue. And without that connection the automatic schedule doesn't work. Very disappointing. I wish I could still return it.

I bought this to precise-feed a 3 month old kitten (which will overeat if food is left for him in uncontrolled way, and overeating will lead to vomitting etc). Easy to follow instructions and setup. Wifi connectivity worked smoothly, no issues at all. I weighed the portions, and each portion is about 15 grams (when using Royal Canin Baby Kitten food). Dispenses food exactly (to the second) of the schedule you setup for it. Super happy with it, let's see how it hold up over time.6 months update 20 Feb 2025: the feeder doesn’t dispense the same quantity of kibbles each time anymore (barely any kibbles come out, and it’s exact same food as before). I cleaned it but that didn’t help. It now looks the rotating motor is just weakening. I now have to increase portion sizes to 3 or 4 times the previous one to get “roughly” similar amount dispensed, but I can’t rely on it to dispense exact amount anymore so there is a now risk of either over feeding or under feeding the cat as the amounts are not consistent anymore. Disappointed with the durability!

It works perfectly, I had these for a year now and never a bug. It’s easy to install and to set timers for food dispensing. I couldn’t go without it

Love this cat feeder and made my life easy. It has a nice features where you can divide and adjust the frequency and amount of food that suits your cat. You can also see the feeding history thru their app which me relieves me when I'm travelling. Must buy i must say. :) (no built in camera)

All good except for the food goes down so fast it shoots out of the bowl.
