Unbelievable value! 5 Stars despite initial ball head problem (fixable)
The value is unbelievable. $60 ('sale price')for a tripod with this much functionality and sturdiness is superb. Build quality is good where it matters - like the tripod legs and metal components. Other items have a cheaper plastic feel, like the knobs that adjust the ball head. I love the cleverness of the three 1/4-20 connections built into screws where the legs fold. What a great surprise for me to uncover. For the price, SmallRig has clearly prioritized putting money into the right areas. One con is that as delivered, the ball head did not have smooth range of motion. It would get stuck while moving or rotating it instead of having a fluid motion. This worried me a lot, as that's one of the most important factors of a good ball head tripod. I moved it through all positions to troubleshoot and found extra material on the very bottom of the ball, it looked like dried superglue :/. I was able to scrape off ~2/3s of the material and the ball head started moving much better. I would have returned it if this quality issue persisted.

Awesome - lots of options for height, swivel, etc but folds up very small
This is awesome. I just took it out of the box and played with it and it's got so many options in terms of variable leg length, swivel capabilities, etc. And yet it folds down really small. I'm very impressed with the engineering and design, it seems like they put a lot of thought and time into creating this!

Would recommend to buy
I am far from a photographer, but this, which our part is well built, kinda lightweight. It's made from very sturdy material. It does not feel flimsy at all. I only had one problem this tripod, and that was to turn it 360 while camera was attached. I think it's more operator error. Legs extend got a good height. Wish it came with spikes to screw in the bottom for gravel or dirt

Reliable & durable tripod!
Durable tripod, have been using it for the past year in wildlife photography. Its survived being dinged, dropped, and covered in mud (and survives pressure washes lol).

Great tripod for a professional kit.
This thing is whatever you want it to be. Tall, short, monopod or tripod. Watch for pinch points. Very professional in construction and design. Definitely rounds out a professional camera kit for most scenarios. The angle adjustment on the legs takes some getting used to but the brushed metallic finish is spot on.

Tripod Function 3 Stars, Monopod Function 1 Star
Tripod use rates 3 stars, monopod use rates 1 star. The faceted washer beneath the head is difficult to tighten. Especially when trying to steady the head with the top compression nut in close proximity. I have average-sized hands but found it nearly impossible to adjust the washer without misadjusting the top compression nut. Several times I've tried to adjust height (via the top compression nut) and accidentally loosened the washer/head. This issue affects tripod and monopod.I've used the monopod several times to steady a long lens while shooting wildlife. The third leg that unscrews for the monopod function is very strong in tripod position due to male-female joint combined with the strong threaded nut. This same leg connects to the upper portion (facet just above the weight hook) via flat butt joint and the same threads. I could not eliminate a wiggle at that joint which makes monopod use with the long lens iffy at best.It took me 35 days to figure all this out so I guess I'll buy a separate monopod...
