First off, I like the red color which is my favorite color. The container is sturdy and it seems fine. I've only used this manual shredder a few times so far. Occasionally, I forget I have it and start chopping by hand before remembering I could’ve used the shredder instead.That said, I’ve used it on yellow onions, and cilantrao (yes making salsa and daily cooking), and it works great—just like chopping with a knife, but without the tears. The shredded pieces come out nicely sized. The longer you shred, the finer the result, so you have good control over how small you want the pieces to be. The blades right now are still sharp, and I haven't noticed any issues with them so far.Another feature I really like is that it’s manual. That means I can take it dry camping and still chop up small items as needed—no need to worry about finding an outlet.I know I need to test chopping more ingredients to see how well it does. I'll update again once I have tested it more.

I really love the choppers that have the pulls. They do the best job and are the easiest to use. My husband has arthritis, and this is the least difficult for him. These are so much easier than the push down ones and do a much better job (and easier to clean) This particular chopper works great. It's easy to use and easy to clean. I would say the only downside to this one is that the top is square and doesn't snap on or twist on like the round ones. I should have thought about that before buying - because the lid isn't as sturdy as the round ones where you twist them on.

This item helps me chop up my jalapeños, onion, and tomatoes super fast. It’s kinda small but perfect for a small batch of salsa.

I was really looking forward to using this. I took it out of the box, took the blade cover off and put the device back together making sure the blade was seated properly in the cup and with the top. When I pulled the string to rotate the blade, the blade became stuck on the sides of the cup, no matter how I adjusted it to make it sit. Even when perfectly aligned the blade did not sit in the cup with a good fit.After using slightly more pressure, the blade rotated with my pull, but cut into the plastic sides of the cup, leaving shaved plastic throughout the cup. I threw it away before even trying it with food, I was concerned about shards of plastic being in the food I prepared using the product. Disappointing.

Works great just be careful not to cut your fingers. Extremely sharp blades. Does great with onions.

I am cooking with more veggies now. I hated chopping (especially onions) and this little cutter makes it so easy. A few pulls for coarse chopping, a few more for fine dicing and mincing. It’s not hard at all to use. It’s easy to clean too.
