I downloaded the YoLink application on Android. Most will find it simple and straight forward to use. It works quite well actually. I did notice some up close blind spots where it should have gone off and didn't. Really of no consequence in my case. Overall all solid motion detection with alerts on my cell phone. Perfect.

One of the best devices for home security. Easy to setup, the app gives you several settings to customize and once sensitivity is dialed in, they’re very accurate. I installed these over 6 months ago and the batteries are still showing full. That’s tremendous, considering we just got thru winter. They have excellent long range, one sensor is installed over 300 feet away from the “base”. They continue to work even if WiFi drops and they have a wide field of view. I can’t say enough good things about these little motion sensors. I’ve had other ones that don’t compare. You won’t be sorry!

Works great. Love these motion sensors and the accuracy of the alerts. There is only one thing I don’t like. When installing, I have to enter my WiFi password and then I called the support team because I couldn’t get them to work properly, alerts, etc. Their solution was that not only do I have to give the app access to my location, but also to my “precise” location. Why do they need that? If I have the receivers connected to the internet and the motion sensors within their radio proximity zone, why do I have to give a foreign company in China my precise location? Makes no sense and it’s scary in WiFi security.

I have the motion sensor roughly 500 feet from the metal barndominium where the base station is. The sensor is on a 6x6 wood post aimed at a gate. At first, it went off to everything, even cars going by 50 feet from it. I turned the sensitivity down to its lowest setting, but then it didn't detect anything. I finally had to turn the sensitivity back up. I then aimed the sensor down a little bit. That fixed it, it works perfectly now. It's really quite awesome too how it speaks what it detected through Alexa devices, that's a GREAT feature.If anything could be changed, I would ask that their be four five levels of sensitivity adjustment in the app instead of the few it has now.

I purchased the yolink system, which included a hub, outdoor alarm, and four motion detectors. My goal was to set up an alarm system on my land, and since I live in an RV with solar, I planned to use solar energy to power the hub. However, when I tried to set it up, I encountered an unexpected problem.The product information on Amazon stated that the system could operate without a Wifi signal, instead using the internal network and LoRa technology for long-range communication. However, when I tried to connect the devices, I discovered that it was impossible to do so without proper Wifi. I was frustrated and confused because the information on Amazon had misled me.I contacted support hoping for a solution, but they informed me that the system could not work without proper Wifi. This meant that I could only connect each device to another without any control of any app or center control. For instance, if the motion detector detected any movement, the outdoor siren would automatically go off, and the only way to turn it off was to run to the outdoor siren and turn it off manually. This was very inconvenient, especially at night.Moreover, I had planned to assemble the system on top of a pool, which meant that I would have to climb up to turn it off. This not only posed a challenge, but it was also a safety hazard.In summary, I found the yolink system to be not functional and Yolink should remove all the misleading information material from its product description that claims the system can work offline. Potential customers need to be aware of the system's limitations and make an informed decision.My experience taught me the importance of researching a product thoroughly before purchasing it. I hope this review will help other customers make informed decisions about their purchase. If you are considering purchasing the yolink system, keep in mind that it does not work offline, and you will need to have a proper Wifi signal to connect the devices. Additionally, consider the placement of the system and ensure it is accessible for manual turning off in case of false alarms.

At first I was only getting notifications through my cellphone . I had added the echo show to give me notifications ,but no sounds from the hub or the echo show were appearing .For YoLink to work with the Alexa app, I had to create a “routine” on the Alexa app.I am now getting notifications on my echo show, cellphone/ iPad and the hub .Devices a working fine with the notification.Note: The only downside I see is it’s showing me the battery life is low and I just got the device a day ago.

To change the battery you have to unscrew the mounting plate from its mounting, then unscrew the 4 screws that secure the back of the device. There are no photos in the ad to reveal this fault; you have to buy the product to actually see how it mounts. A rear quick disconnect would be the intelligent design answer to this problem. If you are going to make battery changing this difficult, then have a solar charge option. I'd have preferred a usb + solar rechargeable battery version. The app is overly complicated with menu items poorly explained, if at all. Buy this and you'll quickly see what I mean. Customer service is a language barrier nightmare. Returned.
