Yes, the 80 volt 2.5 amp battery that came with the Kobalt blower will also work with the. 80 volt string trimmer. This gives you the option to purchase just the bare tool string trimmer and save some money. However, if you don’t already have a second battery, it probably makes sense to purchase the string trimmer with battery as this will be cheaper than buying a battery by itself (although you will end up with 2 chargers).
