The AC adapter for my cable modem (Arris S33v2) was failing. The modem was producing high-pitched coil whine -- probably the capacitors -- and would go into constant reboot cycles. Bought this unit to replace the adapter. Needed 12v 1.5a and so far the new adapter is working fine. Really appreciate all the included barrel inserts.

I needed to replace the power cord on our portable white-noise device; the one we use for travel. Seemed like this was going to be perfect because you can select the output voltage and I was able to match it to the existing device. The problem was that the shoulder on the cord plug was too fat to allow the pin to insert fully in the recess in the device. I used a Dremel tool to shave the plastic shroud and finally it fit. Works as intended now. I can't necessarily fault the 12V power supply because SoulBay did not make my white-noise device. Just know that it could be an issue with some types of equipment.

DON'T USE WITH SENSITIVE ELECTRONICS!3V voltage swings of noise and ripple that seems to scale a little depending on which voltage state you select. On the 9V selection... a 3V ripple noise is 1/3 of the output voltage... like come on, ever heard of filtering??For now i'm back to using my B&K benchtop power supply and 9V batteries which going into the same wiring has no noise passing to my electronics. I designed my board for dealing with about -500mV ripple (-0.7V nominal due to the diode) and much more positive ripple since the positive side goes through a secondary 5V voltage regulator for the controls side... That is considerably much more ripple than you generally see on any even half decent power supply. Filtering calculations are not hard guys.I attached a photo of the output as taken by a nice oscilloscope I own. Note that the voltage per division is 5V. the noise you can see covers across most of a single square. The noise can be estimated as about a 3V ripple and is eliminated when connecting the ground of the soulbay to the ground of my benchtop power supply.I had actually been inspired to buy this because a coworker at my Electrical engineering internship had bought a previous version of the soulbay for our work to use and it seemed to be very economic. I liked the newer design having extra attachments but after finding out there was over 3V of AC noise on this new one, I tested the one that was purchased for work and it also has the same issue.Another poster also mentioned radio interference/EMI issues and as it seems this is simply a huge design flaw for this brand of power supply. This amount of noise is exactly why that poster would have seen the interference.

I wish I’d bought this adapter long ago. Adapters get separated from their devices and disappear. I’ve only used this on a Victure trail camera at 6 volts but it worked as expected. The selector switch is tight and has positive clicks. I think it’s a quality adapter and a very good value. It was delivered very quickly.

Good idea but didn’t fit my cordless vacuum.

Product didn’t do its job. Bought the item for my electric faucet did not work.
