I needed one of these years ago!
This is absolutely brilliant! Small, lightweight, really smart to look at and extremely strong! The clamp is so strong and can hold onto the thinnest of straps, but also big think bulky straps too… the different choose of accessories to use with this is also great, I use with both the camera adapter and also the action camera 360 ball head which is great for POV use!

An awesome camera clip for run and gun photography
This is another one of those 'Why didn't I buy one sooner?' accessories. It wont make you a better photographer but will make your photography better (or rather easier).I first tried a different (cheaper and nastier) make of camera clip several years ago and I hated it because the plate kept jamming in the clip. It was strong enough to hold anything I hung from it, but the hassle of almost twisting my arm off to release the camera from my shoulder strap - or taking off the entire bag in frustration whilst trying not to damage my camera - made me regret the purchase.Fast forward five years and countless missed photo opportunities because my camera was inside my bag as I walked, I decided to look again at camera clips because my photography is changing to include longer hikes and less tripod use (especially seeing as how IBIS now provides greater potential for handheld shooting).I couldn't justify the cost of similar products from Peaky Designers, but the PGYTECH Beetle was 30% cheaper and well reviewed, so I took the plunge. Awesome decision. It's well made with a sleek anodised finish, and it's effortlessly simple to clip onto my shoulder strap without the need to fiddle with mounting screws (which cause much of the jamming I experienced previously).I especially like the locking mechanism to prevent accidental release, but if you mount the clip correctly so your camera slides in from above then it shouldn't fall out unless you're hanging upside down (bungee jumping photographers beware!).The camera plate is Arca-Swiss compatible for ball head mounting, and you can also buy additional plates and a quick release clamp which mounts to tripods, allowing you to transfer your camera from shoulder to tripod in less time that it takes you to say it.I won't be suspending a heavy wildlife lens from this thing even though it claims to hold up to 30kg, but it's held my Z8 and 24-120 without any concerns at all (although I also attach a wrist strap from the camera to a carabiner as a means of secondary retention just in case). It's comfortable, durable and has so far held up to a variety of hikes through mountains, forests and beaches. And yes I've been able to capture fleeting moments as I stroll along, which has made my photography much more enjoyable.I'd heartily recommend this item to anyone.

Use carefully.
It does everything it says, but does not work for me.The strap clip can be VERY hard to undo. Camera separation works a dream.Your camera will NOT fall off, and is close at hand - locks brilliantly !It is just in an awkward, place to access; and you must be careful when you take your rucksack off.I prefer a strap arrangement, put on before my rucksack; which stays put when I take the rucksack off.

Great piece of kit
Easy to attach and holds camera really secure.Good quality and feels solid. I’ve attached it to belts and rucsac and a bum bag for when I’m using my camera with smaller, lighter lenses.

Cracking Piece of Kit
What an awesome piece of kit. I don't normally write reviews unless I am really impressed with something and in this case I am. I actually bought this on a whim, just to clip my point and shoot on to use when I don't want to get my main camera out of the bag. But it came into its own when we went on holiday to Egypt. I used this in conjunction with the Peak Design sling and clipped my R7 to the outside of the bag, the locking function on the clip prevented anyone from stealing the camera or the camera from falling out. Another plus point is the plate which you secure to the bottom of the camera is swiss arca compatible. All in all very impressed and at a decent price point too.

Best quick release clip ever
Best I've owned, forget about Peak Design or others. Super robust, just brilliant. high quality.

Better than PD clip
This is sooo good I prefer it over my PD capture clip. It's so versatile and a lot easier and quicker to use and move to another pack.

Pricey but very good
It seems expensive for what you get: two small bits of metal (plus an allen key) in a box. The packaging tries to create a premium feel (including two large and unnecessary stickers in a plastic bag), but most of that will go straight in the bin. The included allen key will add to my extensive Ikea collection. However, those two small bits of metal are very well designed and manufactured. I have every confidence that they will hold my camera securely and stand up to repeated long-term use. The camera latching mechanism is simple and secure, and the clip holds on to my rucksack strap very well. The square, Arca-Swiss-compatible mounting plate fits very securely to the tripod socket on my camera (Panasonic FZ-330) and doesn't obscure the battery bay, so I can leave it on all the time and use it with tripods and other accessories.Very pleased with it overall, but like I said, it is expensive for what you get, so only 4 stars.
