I’ve been using it as my docking station at my home office and it works perfectly with all the things I plug in like my dual monitors, webcam etc. I like that it has 2 usb c plugs so I can use it to charge my higher watt laptop without having to plug in my normal charger

This has helped clear up issues I was having issues with a normal docking station and my Dell performance laptop. Great that it comes with all the cables. The dual usb c that go to the laptop is included and connected to the docking station. Makes it easy to connect and disconnect. It would be great if it had another usb A port to support legacy peripherals. But I can always get a c to a adapter, so good with the usb c ports.

This did not work with my work Dell Precision 56XX labtop. How does a Dell docking station, which states it would work with my lattop, not work?I was running 3 monitors, (2) 32" Samsung and (1) Benq, all are 2K monitors which should not have been a problem with this dock. I'm an architect, so I use a lot of graphicaly software for work and this dock could not handle the work load. The dock would cause the computer to freeze and/or crash, software would crash, at times, the monitors would not come on. It was a nightmare. I lost about 2 days of work because of this think. I even got our IT team to work on this dock and they could not get it to function. After a couple of days fighting this POS, I tried my Lenovo ThinkPad dock, it worked right from the start. Funny how Lenove works better then Dell on a Dell computer.Much praise though to the Amazon customrer services department. They refunded me for the POS, even after the return window had closed. Never buy for home use directly from Dell, price difference is insane. I work from home once a week and this equipment sees heavy use. Best Buy I saw anywhere, exact equipment my company buys directly at a fraction of the cost.

Home computer nas work.

This dock is really nice (I have one for home office, and one for office office), HOWEVER, make sure your monitors either have DisplayPort ports or if they are HDMI only, that you grab at least one HDMI to DisplayPort cable. This came with two DisplayPort cables and one HDMI, which is great, except that if your monitors only have HDMI, you can’t use two HDMI hookups with the dock for a dual monitor set up. It’s either two DisplayPort or one DisplayPort and one HDMI. It’s annoying and I always need to go out to find another cord since my Dell monitors only have HDMI ports (which is dumb because this is a Dell dock).

I work from home, so I needed to order this to replace my failed thunderbolt power supply. It is used to drive my 3 22" monitors and power my laptop while charging my laptop battery. I have had it 1 week with no issues so far.
