Snail trap?
This is a very nice aquarium ornament. That said, I have found that the yellow/green version is a major attractant for snails. I was having a problem with snails in my aquarium. I attached some fishing line to this item. At night the snails come out and are drawn to the green glow. In the morning I would pull it out, remove the snails then return it to the aquarium. Result...no more snails.

It adds color to a tank
This is something that I enjoy getting for my GloFish tank. It does add color to a tank filled with colorful fish. I have a couple other tropical fish that are compatible with GloFish, such as a rainbow fish and angelfish. Really just a gripe on this ornament is that it can get quite messy overtime and get somewhat difficult to clean thoroughly. I do have one misconception of this anemone ornament product to clear up. Some have said that this product left in their tank was the reason for their fishes death and stating it is toxic. I've kept this GloFish Anemone ornament and similar ones from PetSmart in my tank for over 5 years. Can easily say this product is not a fish killer so no worries on that front. But at the same time considering I go at least one of these a year it isn't going to last you forever. But if these are on a sale it's a cheap decor that is colorful and won't harm your fish in any way.

Great price and perfect aquarium accent
Just so pretty! Perfect size for my now fishless aquarium! I set it on top of my bubbler and it looks awesome. The little tendrils wave all around, looks real!

Looks good under black light, fish tried to eat it
My fish are dumb and started eating the tips off of this. It was a nice looking plant under the black light, however, I had to remove it after a fish died eating it. Too bad, it looked really neat waving in the water.

lifelike and unkillable
Possibly the best decoration I've bought lately, this would be number 3, all different. The decoration is large, weighted so it won't float away, the tentacles are supple and move in the water.Looks like it should glow somewhat under the led moonlight. I would and may buy another in different color.

Cotton candy like film and tacky - Do NOT buy.
I bought one of these when I purchased a GLO TANK. I rinsed this and the other silicone type aquarium plants off as well as this cute mountain with colorful flowers, filter on, heater on... Tank set up and waiting for a week. Water tested all right on target ranges.Day 3 - notice cloudy water developing near left side where silicone decorations were placed.Day 5 - thicker cloud with notice of this cotton candy like cobweb coming off this towards other items.Day 8 - complete water change.Thinking I didn't wash well enough. (hah - used to have 55 gal. tank years ago know to prep tank for habitation)Day 10 - notice murky - foggy water again. Test tank water - showed all specs within correct analytical range.Day 11 - add betta to 5 gal tank.Day 14 - half tank change. (mid week needed to wait for new tank and equipment to arrive)Day 18 - complete change out. water was horrible. - was unsure if it was this item or the glo tank or the mountain item.Washed tank, seemed fine.Washed this yellow piece of crud. it was tacky and sticking to itself. tossed in garbage where it belongs.Washed mountain to get slime off it - it's paint flaked off. (they are getting a crap review next)so between this item and the cute little mountain with peach/pink flowers for Betta's the tank water was complete change 2 times and 1 partial with in 18 days!!!Very fortunate my betta is a sturdy little dude.#notimpressed. #dontbuy
