Magnesium can be a game changer for muscle cramps and for recovery after exercise, heavy work, etc. Problem is, magnesium is poorly absorbed through the intestines, and what is left behind acts as a laxative (i.e. Milk of Magnesia- MOM is simply magnesium oxide, which intentionally absorbs poorly and that is why it is a laxative). I learned of MagTab literally decades ago from a physician and am glad to see it available on Amazon. It is made of "magnesium lactate dihydrate", which is said to be the most highly absorbed form of oral magnesium. It works- I can take two daily for maintenance, and can even go higher if needed, and it has never had a laxative effect.

Recommended to me by doctor at Florida's leading University teaching hospital. I believe it is a slow release tablet. Tablet is smooth and easy to swallow. I trust the quality of this brand.

So I have a magnesium deficiency and this is the only supplement I can take. I do take it every other week as it does upset my stomach

My Cardiologist recommended this to help with my night time leg and foot cramps. This really works! So I would order again when I'm ready to. My blood test did not reveal I was low on Magnesium, but somehow I must have needed it.Why did my Primary care doctor never suggest this, I wonder?

This supplement has really helped with my blood pressure. Unfortunately, availability at a reasonable price is a bit hit and miss.
