Very very effective product

YALL!!!!!!! I can not begin to effectively express how much this has changed my skin! Clearer!!! Firmer!!! Smaller pores!!! Brighter!!!! Others expressed drying but I haven't experienced that. I use this at night as a wash and about every third night as a mask also. THIS, this product will always be in my arsenal!

Gentle and effective

I heard from a dermatologist that a sulfur-based cleanser can be helpful in removing/preventing sebaceous filaments (little black spots that appear in the pores, for me it's mostly on my nose). The first time I used it, I used it like a standard cleanser as I didn't think to read the directions. After that, I started using it according to directions. My skin is not what I would call sensitive (very few things I've tried have caused irritation or broke me out) but my skin is pretty responsive.The first couple weeks that I used this cleanser, the skin on the tip of my nose and around my nostrils got really dry and felt thick but also flaky. I went hard with my moisturizer with ceramides as I figured the cleanser was more stripping/drying than my other cleanser and compromised my skin barrier a bit. After a couple nights of intense moisturizing, my nose went back to normal and I decided to cut back on the frequency I was using this cleanser.Then last weekend, my skin started purging. I have never had a purging issue with any product I've ever used. My skin either responds positively to a new product, or the product has no noticeable effect. I stopped using this cleanser, cut back on the actives I use but my skin kept purging. I'm regretting changing up my skincare routine because I was quite happy with how my skin was (clear and smooth! after decades of acne issues) but thought adding this would help clear out the dark sebaceous filaments on my nose (no change in nose-pore appearance, btw).I do not believe that my experience is indicative of what everyone else might experience. Everyone's skin and skin issues are different. I just advise that it can be pretty drying, make sure you're using a really good moisturizer to compensate for any moisture-loss from this cleanser. I also made the rookie mistake of not slowly building this product into my routine, so don't make my mistake. It's possible that even doing so would still cause my skin to freak out, but who's to say.

I like the product. Easy on the skin and foams well. I especially like the lid on the bottle. It doesn't collect water from the shower like another brand does.
