I've been pretty brand loyal to Sabrent but this one was a little cheaper and my plan was to disassemble it so I could mount it under my desk. Well it works like a charm. No issues. Does what it needs to do. Everything is easily powered by USB.

I found each button worked constantly and easily without fail. have a smooth tactile responsive feel and low throw. I purchased my RSHTECH 7 Port Powered USB Hub Expander several years ago to connect four devices to my laptop on a daily basis, and use the remaining ports on an as-needed basis. The unit has been 100% reliable. Each port has its own dedicated on/off switch, making it especially easy for me to power up my backup hard drive to run frequent backups of my hard drive, then turn it off when finished to keep it isolated from the Internet as much as possible. I purchased a second USB Hub for my daughter. Good unit, reliable.

I make a lot with music and I am always pulling and unplugged various keyboards and key pads, along with memory sticks and speakers. With this controller I can keep everything plugged in and with a push of a button turn it on or off. It's great and wished I had this sooner. Like that there is an LED showing it's power status. It's not very big and fit nicely on my desk. I like the fact it had a separate 5volt power supply so it not loading down my PC.

it actually worked. all 7 slots, with all usb dongles.no overheating, no shorting out, no working with half the dongles but not the other half, and not having half its slots dead.it only took 5 purchases to get a brand new unit that had never been opened and actually worked.utter ridiculousness.Thank you RSHTECH for selling what you were advertising. Thank you RSHTECH's manufacturer for making the thing you agreed to make. Thank you Amazon for actually shipping me a new unopened unit.gods willing, this hub lasts at least another 8 years like the last one and i don't have to go through this hell again any time soon.The things I can explicitly say in favor of this unit is 1) the plug is not a universal adapter that you choose which plug type you need and then install it. 2) the power brick, cable, and housing are very solid, this doesn't feel overly heavy, but it doesn't feel like its made out of aerogel either. 3) I specifically avoided a 12V unit in favor of a 5V like my old one had been.Con: LED blue lights... just stop with the blue LED lights everywhere, please. Promptly put black and tan LightDIMs stickers over all the LED lights so that the emitted light is green and barely visible with a 90% reduction in illumination. It still illuminates out of its usb ports, but nothing I can do about that.

The main USB cable to the hub is robust and strong. The unit looks very attractive with 7 USB3 ports. Each port has its own on off switch which is very convenient . Perfect for my Flight Simulator with all the peripherals which require a power adapter to get strongUSB signals.

I have purchased 3 of these: 1 for my home office, 1 for my daughter's home desk and another for her college dorm room.These hubs allow you to turn each USB jack on/off individually, and because they are AC powered with an included USB 3.0 data cable, you can used rapid charge smartphone docks and external hard drives (they have a max supported output of 10W).Because both the AC and data cords are very long, it gives you the ability to put the hub where you want on your desk. In addition, the build quality is excellent and the price is very reasonable.BONUS: The AC adapter went bad on my Hub last week and the Amazon return period was past. I reached out directly to the manufacturer (including screenshots of my Amazon order) and they agreed to replace it without question, and I had it just a few days later. You really don't get that kind of commitment for peripherals like this as a rule.Great product, great company backing it up. I highly recommend it!
