I was blessed with these new crutches that did not have regular plastic cover so I ordered these elastic coverage and it fit my adult crutches that are 5 ft . Thankful I took the risk due to the mix reviewsI going to test it when walking soon.

The description is WRONG & misleading!!! These are NOT waterproof & they DO dry, crack & split! Since it said "waterproof" I thought maybe these were a different or newer version... WRONG, they are identical to other Elasto-Gel pads & NOT waterproof! In fact, Elasto-Gel/Southwest Technologies clearly states "DO NOT GET WET!" You can only clean them with a BARELY damp cloth (which doesn't really ever clean them), you can NOT actually wet them because water breaks down the gel packs... I got that directly from the manufacturer on my first set of these pads. I was even told to be careful in the rain, to dry them off immediately if they get rained on, because the water breaks them down!I'm now on my fourth pair in 6 years! Because everyday use and especially sweat will cause the fabric to get dirty, sticky and dried out, rough & scratchy in areas! Also, the edges & seams wear out easily and start tearing & separating!Comfortable: YES, YES, YES!!! I couldn't use my crutches without these... the pads DO save my arms! They are fantastic for comfort!!Waterproof: NO! Even SWEAT ruins them eventually! And as for another false claim, they WILL dry, crack, split & tear within 1-2 yrs!So overall, they are a great product for comfort, that sadly you will need to replace every year or so, because they fall apart too easily! So look for the lowest priced option you can find, all the Crutch-Mate/Elasto-Gel forearm crutch pads are the same... don't be fooled into paying more by false "waterproof" titles! I could have gotten this exact same pair for less had I known the waterproof claim was false!

Purchased for my neighbor. Easy to put on the crutch and is very comfortable for him!

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCTUnless you don’t mind being a walking advertisement for the manufacturer.The pads seem ok. Gel makes it more comfortable. I don’t know about wear but they look to be made well.BUT. The picture on Amazon is deceptive. It shows the pad to be black. When they arrived it had white printing- as seen in my photo that advertised the product including web site and phone number. This was not mentioned in description and had I known I would not have ordered. I am not going to be a walking advertisement for them and in addition, it’s bad enough that I have to walk with canes, and that only draws more attention to it. A sneaky unethical way to advertise produce without the buyer’s consent or awareness before purchasing.Skip this one, unless you want to provide them with free advertising. There are other purchasers that have mentioned this too.

I have a set for my crutches because they are old without coating and I don't have enough meat on my arms to keep the veins from popping under the pressure and dragging. No problems anymore.Bought a set for my uncle whose coating had worn off and he thanks me every time he sees me.I'm glad the company name is on there. That way I can tell people where to get some.

Greatly improve my mobility compared with canes.
