Thunder Group Dredge without Handle, 10 oz.

this is a nice shaker works great for flour, powdered sugar, I use mine for applying meat rubs & when applying seasonings when making summer sausage. all the seasonings come out great and puts a nice even coat on the meat. the lid screws on and off nice I never had any problems with that. one thing to remember is to wash it real good I mean real good, there is some kind of grayish oil inside mostly on the inside of the lid. use a white towel & rub hard when drying it and rewash it until there is no gray marks on the towel and your ready to use it. as far as keeping salt or any spices with salt in it for a long time I'm not sure if that would cause any problem with the metal. I keep mine empty until I'm ready to use it and empty it when I'm done with it. I will be buying a few more they are worth the money.

I love this thing. Makes flouring anything a breeze. The flour comes out nicely distributed and I don't have to use my fingers at all, except to hold the dredger that is. Great tool, great price. Very happy with it.

I purchased this product for use with sea salt. The shaker itself is well made. The top screws on and off easily and feels secure once tightened. The holes allow a good amount of sea salt to flow through which is what was expected from a shaker this size. I have been using it for about six weeks now and I've noticed rust starting to form inside the container. It is actually starting to discolor the salt. I didn't expect stainless steel to rust even when using it with salt. So I can't recommend this particular shaker to be used with salt.

If you cook large amounts of food which usually require more salt, then this shaker will work well for you. It is possible to just salt in smaller portions with a gentle touch which comes with practice.

There were lots of fancier shakers here, but in the end i went with this classic no handle option. It is as described and good quality, does a good job :) great deal for the price

I use the dredge for salt while cooking-- it is a perfect size and gets the job done-- easy to refill!

It's the right size. I use it to flour my bread that I bake. It does a wonderful job for this task. The hole sizes are perfect to allow the flour through.
