had a broken guitar for years, with these parts now repaired

I recently acquired my father's old Suzuki steel-string guitar from the 70s. It was in a rather sorry state, having lost a tuning peg and in a very grubby state. I decided to look for the closest modern equivalent to the tuning heads, which this is. Now, you may have noticed I said 'steel-string' rather than 'nylon-string' guitar, and that's correct: Dad's Suzuki used what appeared to be nylon-string type tuners although instead of the thicker diameter tuning rod, it used thinner steel ones. My plan was to hopefully reuse the steel tuning rods of the original but with the plates and pegs etc. of this one. This worked, except I was (and still am) missing a compatible threaded bolt for the last peg. That's obviously no reflection on this replacement set, whose bolts are of a different thread size to the old rod. SO that's the background to my wee project! To fully review these heads will have to wait, since for now I've still to find that elusive bolt, but at the price these seem to be well constructed. Once I get dad's guitar fixed up and have a chance to play it, I'll be able to comment on how well these maintain tension etc., but for now I'm going with 5 stars based on the apparent quality of the hardware and the fact it is almost visually identical to the 45yr+ hardware on Dad's guitar.

Bought these tuning pegs to repair the broken ones that were on my acoustic guitar. I think they are good value for money. The product came packed well and in a timely manner. Furthermore, they are exactly as described and pictured. I would recommend this seller and item.

As a guitar teacher, and owner of many classical guitars I wasn't expecting much for the money, but I have to admit that I was disappointed with the quality of these machine heads. There is a lot of play in the gearing, and they seem on par with the type installed on very cheap beginner guitars.

Had to change old broken peg and so changed both “blocks”instead, The holes didn’t exactly match up but were near enough to force the screw. Guitar now functions very well
