This Kobalt electric chainsaw was super easy to assemble and worked perfectly right out of the box. I used it to take down a small tree in my yard, and it handled the job without any trouble at all. It’s lightweight but still has plenty of power, which makes it great for someone who doesn’t want to deal with the hassle of gas tools. I’ve always liked Kobalt, but this tool really made me a believer in electric options—they’re quieter, cleaner, and just as effective for the kind of yard work I need. I’d definitely recommend this to friends and family, and I’d buy it again in a heartbeat if I needed to.

I ordered my new chainsaw because I’m tired of all the hand sawing I’ve done through the years. I have to admit that chainsaws have always scared me. I read the instructions from cover to cover, and consulted a friend who has done a lot of work with chainsaws. Carefully following safety instructions, I tackled a fair amount of yard work, such as cutting off a tree limb, and taking out dead, large chokecherry bushes (that are more like a small tree). I’m still learning, but this has cut the work load tremendously! Highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. It is a chain saw. We bought it because the deal was awesome. It came today no battery or charger in a box that clearly says included. All we want are the battery and charger that we paid for

Works great. Had trouble getting the chain on the bar and then adjusted. Once that happened it was great. Would recommend

I purchased this chainsaw to trim some small trees in my yard. Missed the Spring window so waited until fall to do the trimming. The chainsaw broke on first use. Specifically, there is a dial to tighten or loosen the chain. That dial was not working so I could not properly tighten the chain and the chain kept coming off the bar during use.It was my fault that I missed the return window for this seller, but I was not worried because Kobalt has a 5 year warranty. When I tried to call Kobalt, I found that they don't directly deal with warranty claims but instead you have to go back through your seller to get a replacement. This seller is not an authorized seller for this product and that is not clear on the seller page, so I can't get a replacement. I had never heard of a warranty having to be handled this way and learned the hard way. Be careful and make sure your seller is an authorized seller or just go to Lowes for Kobalt and you will be safe.In summary, this chainsaw was trash and broke on first use and be careful with Kobalt to only purchase from an authorized seller so product warranty will be honored. Or just don't delay using it to be able to return before return window closes. :(

I’ve had the Kobalt weed eater for about 8 or 9 years and their mower for about 6 years. They still work great. That’s why I bought their chainsaw and I’m just as happy.

Bought it for my husband as a gift .Vendor charged $22 for shipping I live an hour away. Chainsaw too heavy for my husband he thought it was a one handed tool, it is not. I requested a return, vendor wanted me to ship back at my dime.I think there was a restocking charge as wellI’m use to free shipping as a prime member.So I ended up keeping it not sure what we will do with it. Frustrating experienceWon’t do this again!

I was able to saw through 20 inch hardwood into five sections on a single charge. The thing cuts like a chainsaw should. I recommend the extended life battery if you have a lot of logs like I have. I love not needing gas and not smelling like fuel after getting done with the job. Plus it’s quiet so the deer aren’t spooked
