It works on USB with my Mac
It arrived promptly. The only hangups with trying it out were:1) realizing you have to hold the 'on' button on for a moment, it's more than a momentary press; and2) I can't figure out what the + and - buttons do.3) The image is reversed, so until a figure out how to mirror the image in my computer software, I can't use this gadget to read fine print. And, for someone like me who is not used to microsopes and telescopes, I find the reverse image confusing (hard to know which way to move the object or the microscope to get things more in view or at a desireable orientation).Besides that, the computer sees this as a normal camera. It's no easier or harder to use than any other webcam. The built-inLED light is nice. The image is OK.The focus and magnification are one and the same. So, it's kind of like a variable-length macro extender tube on a camera. The big magnifications are when the lens is way out and the subject way close. It does focus all the way to infinity, so can be used as a normal camera. At infinity the magnification is maybe 10X or so. The resolution is good enough so you can pick out things that you could not see with your bare eyes. The image quality does not match a good logitech webcam.Logitech webcams also can focus pretty close (if you can figure out how to make them do that, which is a trick on a mac, you have to use special Logitech Software called 'Camera Settings'). At the closest, the field of view on the Logitech is about 1.5" wide, see my photo of a mechanical pencil on left. I set up this microscope for the same magnification, photo on the right. The Logitech is much sharper. This microscope might be ok, but if the logitch magnification is enough for you, the Logitech webcam is better. Once you get to about twice the magnification that the Logitech can do, the microscope picks up things you could not see on the Logitech crop (right most picture). But the high magnification microscope images are not very sharp. Sharp enough to see things that you cannot see with your bare ideas. But not very sharp.I look forward to using this for my pet project, which is looking at how thread passes through the eye of a sewing machine needle when the needle first starts lifting out of the fabric. (That is a magic moment in sewing, and how the thread is guided by the needle eye seems to be key.) Perhaps it will be better than my webcams for this. And maybe not.

Affordable Product
It is really good and helpful for pcb verification. You can very well check the pictures for reference. Even 15M pixel camera of mobile not doing this job now we can understand the real value of dedicated products. There is no lag while connecting it with pc but I can notice a lag while connecting with wifi.Overall nice product.

Not happy
It's not a plug and play type. It worked with macbook air after few trial and error. Also did not last long. Gave up the ghost in less than 6 months. Not happy

Good for PCB rework
Works perfectly well. My primary use is to solder components. I have used it for soldering 0201 components. The only problem which I see is that max zoom level, the space between lens and component becomes to small for soldering tip to go in. I generally keep 15mm above components or board.Picture quality is good.

Good tool for amature scientists
The instrument is reasonably good for specific purpose and use. It is a good tool for amature scientific pursuit. Only regret is that its focusing mechanism needed to be a little more smooth.

Wonderful clear magnification.
Thanks to the stand it provides without which there is eminence difficulty to hold and view. Best for Metallurgical point of view to see the grain orientations and micro cracks and defects. Clearity of images is wonderful according to research point of view.
