Heavy, high torque, no variable speed trigger

My bonifides - I managed a spray foam company for 2+ years which applied both open and closed cell foams for insulation for both walls and roofs.. Here are my thoughts on the ProCUTTER. First, on the "could have thought this through a little better side": This tool is not for the faint of heart. After all, you need to realize that the tool's trigger is "on/off", not variable speed. So when you start to make your cut, the cutter is rotating at it's maximum rpms. Second, the cutter assembly has quite a bit of mass realitive to the Makita chainsaw body which it is attached to. Therefore, it is truely "game on" when the cutter meets the studs. The "kick-back" is similar if not worse than the kickback you might experience from the same Makitia electric chain saw sawing fire wood. I say worse because the cutter assembly is many times greater than the mass of a bar and chain. Cutting foam close to the floor is diffcult and "climb cutting" is frankly just plan unsafe and dangerous. allcuts need to move from high to low and no, do not turn the saw over to get the low spots. They supply an second cutter to attach to a drill to help with low trimming. Not follwoing the stud lines (freehanding) is not possible, using only one stud (instead of two), as a guide is not adviseable because of the width of the cutter and the tourque and wieght of the tool.. Beware of walls with any protruding metal, if the cutter hits metal fastened to a wall it will be very bad for both the cutter and the operator. Unlike a "Saw All" driven foam cutting blade this machine can and will overpower the tired, inattentive, uninitiated, and just plain stupid. This tool will tire you out, it will tire anyone out. This tool requires experience to use, technique is essential. This is not a pick-up the tool and get to work, working safely will require some practice as will understanding when fatigue will make you do stupid things. On the positive side this tool will keep the foam dead flat to the studs. It can handle both 16" and 24" stud bays. It is fast, faster than the "Saws All Cutting Method".A huge improvement, both in terms of ease of use and operator safety, would be a either an on/off trigger with a speed adjustment dial/wheel on the side (Saws All-like), or a variable speed trigger with a way to set max possible rpm's. I have seen some triggers on demolition tools with a bolt that passes throught the front of the trigger, screws in and out, and and serves to limit the max rpm's of the tool.

To be a man is to run one of these all day. 😂

This tool will remind you that overspraying a stud cavity comes at a great cost . It does what it's supposed to do.

Once you use this , you’ll never want a Sawzall

I use this particular tool all day every day Monday - Friday for years . By far 10x better and more productive than any sawzall. Anyone complaining about it not having slower speeds or it not being safe needs to either needs to hit the gym or get a different occupation. It’s Durable , easy to replace parts and will last you a LONG time before any new parts or teeth
