Included a mini CD with drivers and the program for USB monitoring, and following the instructions might be tough for a person who isn't tech savvy but if you know a bit about computers it's easy enough to get working. The software looks a bit dated but works fine, although it doesn't remember your settings each time you start it.The unit has a long-press function on one of the buttons that disables the auto-off feature so you can monitor continuously for many hours while hooked to your computer. I'm not sure how long the batteries last yet, but it's been several days and the unit is still working fine. It also doesn't mind USB extender cables, I have it hooked up 30 ft away with extenders and it still monitors the data fine.So if you're looking for something that can monitor and log data directly to your computer over an extended period of time this one seems like a good fit.

I just received my new meter today and set it up as directed. When first set up it displayed temp close to what other thermometers I have indicated...then all of a sudden the temp went from 77 degrees F to 185 degrees F! I powered off and then on but no change...this then affects the wet bulb temp, etc...huge errors. I then removed the batteries and restarted it. It went back to a more normal temp reading.... however...it is still not very accurate and is reading about 6 - 8 degrees higher than another very precision temp gage...see the attached photo for reference. Given this, I do not think I can trust this meter to indicate temp and likely wind forces with any reliable accuracy... unless the supplier or Amazon helps with this, I will return. You get what you pay for.

Got this as a present for my father in law and he was very happy with it. It is compact but not too small to make selecting buttons a challenge. The carrying case is very handy. He opened it and was using it within minutes. For the price, I’d say this is a great value.

I use this product to judge how much air flow is comingbout of exhaust fans for restaurants.It works perfectly and is pretty accurate as far as i can tell. Worth the money.

Purchased for some data revising in a lab setting for material physical characterization test method development. East to use software, exportable in common formats, quality construction and very stable readings. Cannot go wrong for lab use! (Not NIST traceable, but not required in this instance).

compare this with 2 pro equipment which clock my airflow at 680 ft/m while this meter clocks at 980 ft/m.

the instrument itself is good to use but when it comes to combining and averaging readings over an area (as in measuring airflow from supply air registers) it is just about impossible to figure out and the software that comes with it aparently doesn't download anything from the memory of the hand held unit? meaning you would have to have your computer or ipad right next to where you are measuring airflow.the software is very limited and primitive from the DOS era.

A very useful tester to use before tearing apart the equipment and possibly waiting time and money. This was well worth it's cost and useful around home and shop.
