Take your time putting it together…there’s no set time for assembly
After reading 30 plus reviews it’s always the same in the end…the majority of the bad reviews are simply user errors…but if you keep reading I’ll tell you what worked for me in assembling this and how to not wind up with a piece of junk like so many of the reviews say in the end..like any other factory assembled furniture this is no different when it comes to how the holes line up or don’t line up but they were pretty good for me …but before you start I suggest to put a light colored sheet or blanket on the floor , the reason is because building it on it makes it easy when you drop a screw ( you will ) I did as well , but it’ll be easy to find ..what this doesn’t say in the vague instructions is that you’re going to need some wood glue for the 32 little wooden dowels…use some titebond II glue or any other wood glue ..it’s not expensive.4$ …( and I’m no spokesperson for that company ) I just want to try and make this job easier to do and get the results I got ..the reason for the glue is mainly the little dowels are cheesy and will fall out every time you go to assemble the pieces together..and also it’s not a 2 person job..but if you do have help that would be better… but for one or two people you need the glue..it really makes it easier …you don’t have to leave it set for hours 25 minutes or so and you’ll be able to handle the pieces that are glued together so much better… when you see the pieces in the package don’t rip them all open they’re lettered for a reason ..each part has lettered pieces and there is NO extra pieces , you’ll use every screw and dowel that’s in the package..so if you are short a screw at the end…well, that’s on you to figure out..and like so many other mass produced furniture we’ve all put together in the past that always had extra screws and caps etc…that ain’t happening anymore there’s no extras .so every part will be used and in the end it is very sturdy , spins perfectly and looks good …so I hope this helps anyone who is considering getting this..

Came defect/damage free 3x and was easy to assemble alone in under an hour.
I purchased 1 just to see how this product was as there were many negative reviews and was pleased to find that the product had no chips, dings, or defects, while the directions are not perfect I was able to complete the build alone in under an hour when I'd had only four hours of sleep the morning it arrived and then assembled it at around 12:30AM the following morning after getting home from work. Since the trial order worked out I ordered two more which also arrived in good condition with no defects or damage. Those two I managed to build progressively faster in around 35-45 minutes.TIPS:-Analyze what you're doing as you go, read the directions, read the following step or two so you understand what you are leading to from where you are. Pay attention to the facings of your panel to make sure you don't put one on backwards. Your screws will insert into and not against the wood panels in most cases which is why you will notice that some holes on the panels are beveled on one side.-If you have a good selection of screwdrivers make sure you pick the best fit, I have a Stanley screw driver with swap-able magnetic heads and easily found a snug fit for both the philips and flat-head screws. This is important if you want to avoid stripping the screw head which could make your assembly a very bad experience.-While I did not try it I would not recommend using an electric drill to put the screws in so as to avoid over-insertion or over-tightening which could break the material.-USE GRAVITY!!!! Assemble the product on its side for the whole process either on the floor or a table that's large enough for the entire tower's length and only put it upright when you put the screw in for the lazy susan on the bottom.-USE GRAVITY!!!!! On STEP 2 only put the wooden dowels into one panel E instead of two, then read STEP 3 and place the assembly from STEP 1 and the 2nd panel F onto your doweled up panel E. Now put the other 8 dowels into the appropriate holes on panel D and 2x panels F and place your 2nd panel E onto the dowels.-Just be patient and go at your own pace.PROS:-Cheap-I found it easy to assemble.-Holds almost 2x as many dvds & blurays as my old towers did and takes up only a little more space.-Visually appealing.-They don't feel too tippy once loaded up.-Enough space on top to put lightweight things on such as a large box-set or figures/models, maybe a picture.-Works on short/standard carpet, I imagine it would have difficulty on deeper carpets that are on the shaggy side.-While the directions are not perfect and could be better the pictures are clear enough to get a firm grasp and understanding of what is happening. More so than some instructions I've seen in the past.CONS:-Cheap cost means cheap materials, just be careful and provided there are no defects you should be just fine.-There is a concern of over-tightening the screw for the lazy susan on the bottom, I feel like they really should have made a machine screw insert for this rather than make the customer use a wood screw.-The lazy susan is made of plastic with metal bearings and while the product will not be holding an outstanding amount of weight I'd gladly have paid 10 dollars more for a good solid metal part instead of plastic. On a good note the plastic is not very flimsy, but plastic is still plastic and I worry about long term durability.

Low Quality Junk
This product was horrible. No matter what I did the shelves would pop out of place. The wooden divit things acted like I greased the holes they were put into. Constantly popping out every time I tried putting it together. Even the round things meant to lock the half screws into place wouldn't do what they were supposed to do. All in all I wasted almost $60 on this garbage.

CD tower was Saved by Amazon Customer Service
It didn't come w/any instructions, and there are a lot of pieces in this kit. I was in the middle of returning it when Amazon customer service showed me that the instructions could be found here at Amazon. The manufacturer has no customer service. It's way below the product info - but it's there. So, I kept it and put it together. Two other things worth mentioning are that "only the 4 outer aluminum rods are structural" The inner rods do nothing for the structural integrity. They're just for aesthetic looks and to help hold the CDs in place. Also due to the nature of this rather large and heavy tower and having multiple weak points - It's rather flimsy when assembled. I highly recommend adding some Elmer's white glue or wood glue to the wooden dowels supplied in the kit. these dowels are crucial to the structural integrity of the tower. Unfortunately, they fit very loosely. I "dipped all" of the dowel ends (only the very tip and one end only) into the glue before inserting into the holes. Then, when it's time to begin assembly, use a tooth pick to dab a little more glue into the corresponding holes to ensure a more sturdy/solid unit. Its' been 24 hours now and the tower is ROCK SOLID after glue is set. I'm glad I took it back apart and glued the dowels/parts together. Other than those few problems; the kit is a good product and has a nice clean look to it w/ plenty of room for my DVDs.
