Netis WF2123 300 Mbps High-Speed Wireless N300 Mini USB Adapter for Windows, Mac OS, Linux | 2T2R MIMO Technology with 2.4GHz Range, 300 Mbps Nano

Using this on my RaspPi2 running OpenELEC. It was immediately identified by OpenELEC and I am happily using it to stream BD rips across my network to my RaspPi2. The WiFi adapter is about 15 feet from the router but the signal has to penetrate two walls, a floor and some HVAC ducting that exists between the two. I'm quite satisfied that such a small adapter can work so well for media streaming.The on;y downside is that FF/Rew is limited to about 4x and the HTPC tends to fail if I try anything faster. Wired connections work fine so it is definitely a limit with the wireless adapter. I think that's a reasonable expectation, though for n300 and an HD video stream.

The adapter itself looks nice and work on my linux machine out-of-box. However, it overheat pretty soon and become unstable and disconnecting a lot. Worse, you can't just unplug and plug it back in, because it is still hot and will not connect or will only connect with a very low speed (open google take more then 10 second...). You need to wait for it to completely cool down before use it again. This is unacceptable. Unless you only plan to use it in a cold place (I live in Wisconsin and it still overheat after 1 hour of use), I wouldn't recommend this adapter.

I received one of these as a "freebie" with a new desktop computer. It connected to my home network in no time ... there is setup disk, but there's really nothing to it ... and the Internet connection speed is actually a little faster than the wired connection. I just ordered another one for my old desktop.

The wifi on my 2011 macbook pro sucks. This is a known flaw for this model that Apple never did anything about to fix. So we got this and it works great. The only thing that sucks is the design. On this model mac the only two usb ports are next to each other. This usb stick is a little extra thick so I cant fit another usb stick in. Hopefully they rethink this. Imight sand mine down as it is just extra plastic. Not thought out well.

I approach all things wi-fi prepared for frustration. This took a couple minutes to get started up but then it hooked right into my wi-fi and has worked smoothly ever since. Really great product, and no pulling my hair our trying to figure what is going wrong.

We used to call this type of thing a "dongle." But I guess nowadays the correct term is "adapter." This tiny little adapter works very well, just as fast as the kaput internal wireless card inside my laptop. It comes with CD to install the driver, but I use Linux, and I just did a search and a generic driver worked perfectly. An excellent value.

Arrived on time well packaged. Plugged it in to Win7 desktop PC, ran the install from provided CD and within 5 mins had connected to my WiFi correctly. Has been in constant use since, no drop-outs yet so would recommend it.

I find it hard to believe that in this day and age a device listed as plug and play does not work at all on Windows 10. It is NOT recognized as a Wireless adapter even after downloading the driver ( which you should have to do! ) and rebooting. It's CHEAP and you still don't get what you pay for. Avoid it. I see other reviews saying the same. A USB device shouldnt be this much of a P I A!
