Beautiful story and illustrations
I bought this book to read to my family at Christmas. The illustrations are beautiful and the writing is moving and thought provoking. While reading we talked about the power of having a vision and then acting to fulfill that vision. Overall one of my favorite stories and one I plan to share with my children as they grow.

Deep spiritual lesson that a child can grasp
The story is wonderful and my 8 year old son and I had a great conversation after reading it. We talked about faith and bring able to see your goals or potential in your mind. My son enjoyed it. They only thing I didn't love were the illustrations. They could have been geared towards kids a little better. I put this in his Easter basket along with a spy glass.

Great story, terrible pictures.
I read the first half of this story to my fifth graders on the first day of school. We discussed seeing who we want to be as students in the classroom. It was perfect. The metaphors in the story are deep and provide rich conversations you can use throughout the year. The pictures, however, are very dark. They look like poor photocopies. The images are difficult to make out.

My grandchildren love me reading this story to them. Once again, RIchard Paul Evans, has captivated his readers.

Fake copy received.
This was horrible! It came as a black and white copy that was copied out of ratio/size proportion and looked like a total fake. Extremely disappointed!!

Disappointed
The pages of the book fell out as I turned the page to read it. The edges of the cover of the book were curled. The story, however, is very good.
