One Touch Ultra 2 Blood Glucose Monitoring System (3 Pack)

I have used this meter for years and purchased this as a backup for travel. The cost of a meter is incidental to the cost of the strips so you need to think about that FIRST. Talk with your doctor for recommendations. If your on Medicare the strips are free. About 7 strips came with the meter. I like that the readout is extremely large so you won't need your glasses. The batteries should last well over a year with daily use and are easily replaceable.

I am not a fan of this product. I have seen my father in law use the same kind many times. The process is simple but the strips don't grab the blood on the end like expected. This past weekend I went through 12 strips and got readings from 400 to 147. I went to the VA 4 days later and was 129. Substantial difference. The kit might be a friend to someone, but not to me.

After it was shipped to my sister (my bad), the saga begins. When I finally got it from my sister, I found the skin piercing device would not load the Lancets. After a few emails back and forth I still do not have the correct skin piercing device so am unable to check my blood-sugar level. PLEASE, either send me a correct skin piercing device or have someone with KNOWLEDGE put together a kit that works! PLEASE !

Exactly as described and was the lowest price anywheere. I had some strips donated to me and this meter made them work. I especially like that I can store additional information or comments so I understand the trends.

Amazing how much info a small chip can give. The larger number report is great for older adults.

I was using the one the Dr. gave me but wanted an extra one for at work. The one the Dr. gave me only did the current reading. This one is fantastic because it gives the current reading, daily average, weekly average and monthly average. My Dr. likes it so much he will be stocking this product for his patients.
