I have a 2017 Cascadia with a DD15. This tool did everything it says it will. I preformed a Regen no problem. So many people knock this tool and I bet it's because they don't know how to use one. The right settings have to be chosen for one and for two a Regen can only be preformed while the engine is running and at operating temp. So all the negative reviews tell me they have no idea what they are doing.

Works for basic J1939 codes and OBD-IIDOES NOT do ABS or any other systems on light duty OBDII 16-pin vehicles.Worked well on several J1939 jobs, but some earlier ones will not communicate.

I bought this recently and the first thing that strikes you when you open the box is the superior quality of the cables. I have a number of battery testers and this by far seems to be having the best cables. I used it on a couple of batteries and the results seemed accurate. The build is strong and is heavier than other ones on the market giving a feel of solid substance...There are 2 queries I have.- It says that the range is 8v onwards. Does it mean it will not be able to read batteries with a voltage lower than 8v?- It has a USB option. not sure how it works or how will I know if an update is available?Overall a great product

This product gives you greater flexibility when doing a parked regeneration. You can do a regeneration on your schedule. You don't have to wait for the truck to tell you it needs done. My thinking is why wait for the system to become so dirty it needs a new filter or having to take it to dealer, pay expensive labor rates. Lastly the dreaded downtime. I can also see other fault codes to tell me of issues that can be addressed.

I carry this scan tool in my International Pro Star. It is very handy to have if my truck has problems while I am on the road. I have already used it to diagnose an ABS problem. While it is not as elaborate as the diagnostic equipment a dealer would have; I would expect that it will diagnose the problem 4 times out of 5. The scanner provides the numerical code and a brief description. With that information; it is possible to do a web search for the make, model, year of truck and the code number. It is likely that there is a description of the problem and a solution online.

Tried to do a regen on my 2014 international durastar 4300 maxxforce and all this scanner did is make my truck think it had an electrical fault with all of the warning lights on the instrument cluster coming on and flashing with tachometer bouncing up and down. When I could finally get into the dpf section it said function not supported. I turned my truck off and let it sit for a while and the computer reset itself so all is well now except I still need a regen done. Worthless scanner.

when i first got it worked great for the most part still does . For some reason when doing a charger and starting system test it just freezes and i can do anything. I dont know if its a software update that fixes this or its just a defective unit. i have now way to get in contact with customer support to see if there is a update on a website. its a good tester does what the more expensive snap on tester does but it still has some bugs to be worked out

So far it works. I used it on my Freightliner to clear old codes and it worked great. I just with it was in a hard case to keep it from getting damaged.
