Teach Yourself Electricity and Electronics, Fourth Edition: 4th Edition

I read this book to learn something about electronics. It is systematic and has good end of chapter revisions. It is a good text for someone without a scientific background. I found it a little plodding; but I suspect the intention was to be thorough. I liked the practical advice on current technologies. Overall it is a useful text book.

Brilliant book, Heavy going in places, but if you go through the book carefully you'll learn a lot from it.

Quite good

This book provides a good grounding in electronic and electrical fundamentals.It covers the physics and mathematics behind the basic concepts in a concise way. By providing several worked examples for each mathematical concept this book really helped comprehend the subject in a way no book had previously.As you may expect, this book provides less detail in the latter chapters in exchange for a broad overview of concepts beyond the basics.I feel like this has left me with a good understanding of the basics from which to build.

very good explanations,be better if the maths part was set out seperately like on a blackboard instead of being part of the text,makes the maths harder to follow,one or two mistakes with the maths as well,but all in all a very good book to learn about electricity and electronics
