Basket too small
Only intended for lite weight duty. The basket should be much wider, probably square. Its great for vegtables but too narrow for ribs and can only hold 2 med? chicken halves. The spit lock thumb screws are too small in diameter making the attachment weak and fiddling necessary to fasten securely to the spit rod.

Solid basket and no cheap coating
So I uploaded a couple photos of the basket and my spit... and yes, a tightly fit chicken for the first grill session. The chicken came out juicy and crisp from inside to out and was perfectly cooked... but that's not what we're here to review. The basket is sturdy, well built but could use a few adjustments.Like others have said, and like many baskets for rotisserie, the screw mounts tend to be a little flimsy. I'm looking for some spacers or maybe to even weld a smaller mount plate to it and get a snug fit. All-in-all, it holds everything really firm. As you can see, that chicken didn't fall out and the basket didn't bend to badly. Next weekend we're trying to do wings on it and see how well the basket works with little things.Pros:solid gauge steelnot coatedfits any spit to up 3/4" (IF your spit is 3/4" what on earth are you roasting?)easy handlingpinching/clamp side is easy to useCons:screw mount could be a little beefierno 'adapter plate' for smaller spits (not that I expected to see one, but it'd be nice as an optional component)==============================Updated 2014-07-17:So since first reviewing this basket our old grill has been retired (it rusted out like many cheap 'stainless steel' grills out there. Well, we bought a mew grill... a Fire Magic Echelon 790i... oooh fancy sweet grill (sorry had to gloat)... Anyway, the rotisserie rod on that 790i IS 5/8" thick and can hold up to 50lbs... it's massive and lethal all in one. Great for turkey and suckling pig... if you like those kind of eats. Add I see that at this time Amazon has taken down customer photos for some reason... not much I can do about that.

Basket Hint
The basket arrived just as expected and in good condition. I agree with other reviewers that the attaching apparatus is not well designed. While it can be made to work, I am sure that it will loosen while cooking. I like the ease in adjusting the basket for various thicknesses.I am attaching photos showing how I will secure the basket to the rotisserie. I am looking forward to trying it out. It looks like using the forks that came with my WEBER rotisserie will secure the basket. Hope this helps others.

Great quality with easy clean up. But does require some re-engineering to fit smaller skewers.
Excellent quality in the materials, easy cleanup. As others have stated the generic hole size is very large for most rotisseries, I have the Weber grill had on. When tightened down the bolts forced the rod to slide sideways and came off the rod. Had to do some engineering to make it work for my grill. Riveted a plate of aluminum over the holes then drilled a new one just big enough for my skewer. Then tapped the screw hole out to use bigger thumb screws.

Good quality, design needs improvement.
Works fine except the thumb screws are too short or the metalIs too thin and flexes too much to tighten onto the rotisserie shaft. Also, the square hole is too large making the tightening an alignment challenge.

The apparatus that holds the basket on the rod is absolutely useless - I removed it
If you are a machinist or welder, this is the basket for you. The apparatus that holds the basket on the rod is absolutely useless - I removed it. I then welded a short piece of heavy steel tubing on each end of the basket to accommodate my rotisserie rod. Then I drilled a hole, tapped it and installed a thumb screw to tighten the basket to the rod. That worked fine and the basket is fine. If the manufacturer did this in the first place, the basket would get 10 stars.

Rotisserie Basket
This basket is made very well with one excepting. The size of the hole where you put the spit through is way to big. I do not know why it is so big, because it makes it difficult to attach the basket to the regular size spit that comes with your rotisserie. To solve the problem, I use the forks that came with the rotisserie to hold the basket in place. That works great, but is a hassle to attach. I use this basket quite often when cooking chicken and other things on my BBQ. I have found that the cheap chrome baskets, the chrome wears off easly, and in a matter of a few months they start to rust. This Stainless basket has no such problem, andI use it a lot.

Thin mounts
The metal that holds the set screws is thin and should be braced. As the screws are tightened onto the spit rod, the metal flexes. I drilled slighty recessed holes in the spit rod for the wingnuts to catch. I also use a set of forks on the rod to help turn the basket. I love the stainless steel as it is easy to keep clean.
