The Universe Journal (Diary, Notebook)

I use this journal as a sketchbook and am quite enthralled with it. The paper is of very good quality and it handles most fountain pen inks quite well, as 120 gsm is thick enough to prevent bleed though and ghosting. Some particular wet inks may feather a little. The cover gives the journal an air of mystery as of an old scribe or archived document and the binding will withstand a lot of use and abuse, although it may not be perfect for making each page lay perfectly flat. I recommend Peter Pauper journals and sketchbooks.

Gorgeous! I'd recommend it, I'd give it as a gift, I'd buy another once it's filled, I'd buy another even if I didn't need it! Seriously, there is no downside to this book! It's so good looking I don't even care that it's lines are spaced worse than wide ruled. I spulled a half of glass of chocolate milk on it today, accider tally of course. It wiped right off and the outside edge got wet, but it did not bleed in and now, you can't even tell I spilled anything on it, the pages didn't get wavy and the cover is still perfect! That's rare, trust me, I've spilled on tons of notebooks, they do not all handle it equally!!I will be seeing what else Peter Pauper Press has for sale because I am a notebook queen! I didn't realize until my husband told me he moved my collection to a dedited bookshelf. I said collection, what collection? Your notebook collection, dear. I started to say I do NOT have a collec- then I realized, yup, I sure do. At any given moment I am writing in between 4 and 7 different notebooks with another 20 on the shelf, and about 30 Ive collected over the years that never get written in...lol It takes a lot for me to not want to write in one though, I mean, cmon, I cant take em with me! Well, unless I have em cremated with me but that would just be absurd...LOLHe bought me the composition notebook Mary Jane's from Hot Chocolate Designs for my birthday this year. It was super appropriate.

This journal is beautiful! The cover has a whimsical, witchy vibe with raised, embossed details. The front and back of the journal have matching designs with "The Universe" in the middle, on the top is written "air, water, fire" and on the bottom "vegetable, animal and mineral". This journal includes 160 LINED pages, although you will see for the picture I included that the lines do not go all the way to edge of the pages. My favorite feature of this journal is that it lies flat when open which mades it so much easier to use. There is also a nice ribbon makes it easy to find your place and the gold edged pages makes it look elegant and expensive. Great gift for yourself or for someone else! :)

I love the feel of this

I collect quotes that I hear or come across in reading..ones I would like to remember. They were on scraps of paper, in file folders..everywhere. I could never find the one I wanted to use. Ordered this book and started copying those quotes and discarding the scraps of paper. Now my quotes are where I can find them. I have just ordered second book. I like the way it is bound, the smooth texture of the paper with very light lines. I'm in my 80's, Son can inherit the books, and see in my handwriting, what was meaningful to me.
