The Complete Watercolor Course Unknown Binding – January 1, 2010

This book is a great resource for all watercolor artists no matter what your level is. I keep it handy at my desk at all times.

This book is amazing, as far as information goes. There is so much in here, that it could take me YEARS! The tutorials are in depth, and easy to follow. I like that they help you do the minimum, then, offer you the opportunity to go past that, with further instruction. I am just a beginner, but can see that this will take me far.The one drawback, that I see, is that the book is very cumbersome with the covered spiral binding. It is not something you can read in bed, for example. I guess it is designed to be read on a flat surface. When I was trying to hold it up, and read it, the binding was pulling on the relatively fragile sheet that actually was affixed to the spiral binding. (The page that actually attaches the cover is maybe a little thicker than card stock.)Because I got this at such a good price (used) I decided to cut the spiral overlay off. I think it works better for me this way. I will never get rid of this book, so it is not a matter of resale value.I am thrilled with my purchase, and would recommend to anyone who needs a reference book on Watercolor.

You might want to learn how to select and stretch watercolor paper before starting the book, but then it is going to be fun. Te first city pages provide a good background which can be revisited as you progress.

One f the best books out there. Easy to follow and very pertinent information. A lot of topics are covered in a pretty comprehensive fashion. Great for beginners who have some practice and experimentation.

If you're new to watercolor, this is a great beginning book.

Helpful book with lots of tips and hints and lots of paintings to practice techniques on. My watercolor instructor recommended this book.
