The PHX plate carrier is based on a common U.S. Army vest and comes with 4 pockets included. Like the original, the vest is designed as a "pull-over", so the user slips in over-head, and then fastens the sides. This is done by hook and loop fasteners, which are in turn secured by quick release buckles.The vest also features a quick release system that allows the components to be loosened by a pull on a single steel cable, which then disconnects the components and so the vest can be undonned in an emergency quickly. The vest comes in the universal regular size and fits best to people from 160cm up to 175cm and 100cm waist.With the vest, a set of pouches is delivered, consisting of- A first aid pouch with inner pockets and subdivision- A double magazine pouch for M4 4x or 2x G36 magazine, with Hook & Loop closures for quick access- An admin pouch, with Hook & Loop panel and tool bag, which holds maps and documentsThe vest can be expanded with all pouches that are compatible with MOLLE / PALS. Included with the vest come two-piece dummy protection plates made of foam, so it does not need extra ones to be purchased / tinkered with, but we point out that these plates have no real ballistic protection whatsoever!
