Ansen Tools AN 207 Extra Long 12" Brad Point Drill Bit Set (7 Piece)

The product worked for what I needed it for, however, the item I ordered is not what arrived. Specifically I wanted a 1/2" bit to use in my 3/8" drill. The pictures show the 1/2" bit trimmed at the base so it would fit. The 1/2" bit that arrived was one consistent size all the way to the base. Fortunately I also had a 1/2" drill so I was able to finish my project.

Not one drill bit was straight. When I applied a little pressure to one (1/4") in order to attempt to straighten it, it bent like soft iron or worse. I tried to drill a 1/2" hole through a 6" piece of soft wood (pine) and after about 2" depth, the drill would not cut any longer and was blunt (dull) when I checked with my fingers. Avoid at any cost. I expected cheap but not totally useless.

This is a very light duty drill bit set. On first going through wood only, one twisted to the point that is was straight. So light duty that when bent, you can straighten it by hand. I returned the set for a refund right away. They are NOT a hardened heavy duty set at all.

The 3/8"wobbled right out of the package, can' t use after waiting for them you can actually bend them with your hands.It appears they were never properly harden they are real soft.I would like a set of bits that I can drill a hole with.I know I will never hear from you people. I need a set of damn bits I can use .ThanksWilliam

Not a good grade of steel . The flutes on these particular bits were cut too deep therefore the bits were very flimsy. Especially at the first inch of the cutter

Drills were dull and warped.

Only one of these bits had a sharp cutting edge and the flutes were rough with burrs on them.
