For those wondering, this will support low-power GPUs, such as the A2000 RTX, Quadro P2000, and server-grade AI cards like the T4, etc. Although not listed, this device comes with about a ~5' Thunderbolt cable. I'm currently using it to connect to an Intel NUC for CUDA compute purposes. Unlike sketchy-seeming 16x sized GPU mining setups, typically exposed and requiring mounts -- something I was looking at while searching Amazon -- this chassis is excellent.The power cable is sturdy and stays plugged in, as it's mult-pin and has a clip. Dimensions and style wise, it's akin to the Akito Node Pro eGPU chassis, sans expandable handle and is a bit wider, which I also own.Depending on the cards installed, the noise will vary; the chassis is open, just like its bigger sibling eGPU chassis. But! But: it's a really table-top piece, with well-bent metal paneling and calm blue LED. Has a modern industrial vibe in person.The internal board looks well-soldered, and the slots have easily removable thumb screws to hold your cards.

Transitioned from Mac Pro to Mac Studio. Needed a PCie enclosure for a PCIE SSD & BM Mini Monitor. Works great.

This unit worked for me with a BMD Decklink Duo for 1 day. After making sure it worked, I unplugged everything and moved it to the other side of the desk. Now it does not power on. I did some troubleshooting, unplugged all connections except the power, removed the Decklink card, nothing. Pretty sure there is a short in the daughter board that has the thunderbolt and display port connections. If I remove the internal power number from the pcie board to the daughter board it will power up. When I connect the internal power cable (Yellow and Black) the power supply light goes from solid to a slow flash. Anyway, I am returning it, but thought this might be helpful to someone. Buying a different model. It looks like several manufacturers are using that same daughter board, so I went with a completely different design.

After 6 months this unit did not charge my laptop anymore. Which is useless because in order to use it it has to be plugged into the computer. Maybe I got a bad one.

This enclosure is well built, with flexible expansion options, and the built in fan is relatively quiet. Highly recommended!

Love that we can use PCIe cards with Mac devices that need SDI output!
