good for saving seeds
I underestimated the size of these envelopes. Pretty small, but turned out to be the perfect size for saving seeds from my plants. Also good for saving seasoning packets that I pre-make for meal preps.

Decent Bags, not x-ray proof.
As a 22 year veteran radiologic technologist I can assure you that these are NOT x-ray proof. Maybe resistant to low energy airport scanners...maybe. You'd need lead lined bags (bad, bad idea) for that.
