Buckwheat Zafu and Zabuton Meditation Cushion Set (2pc), Black

I am very pleased with my Zafu and Zabuton set. The zafu is adjustable by removing buckwheat hulls through the zipper under the handle. This zafu makes my meditations much more comfortable and rewarding. Trying to use pillows instead of a real zafu was very awkward and uncomfortable. I have had the set for a couple years. It is sturdy and well-made. I definitely recommend getting a zafu and zabuton if you are interested in meditating better. I must mention that the zabuton is a little on the small side. This is not a problem for me because I am 5 foot 10 inches, but a person who is six feet or taller would probably find their knees going off the sides of the zabuton. Be sure to get a color that you really want.

High quality design, durable, very firm but supple. The Zafu is thick and firm, which is great for someone like me who doesnt want a Zafu that just squishes and lets my rear end sink toward the ground. With this Zafu I can pull a very comfortable quarter to half lotus, whereas the cushions at the Zendo I can't comfortable pull off Burmese. Amazing what a difference a good Zafu and Zabuton make! Don't get me wrong, pain might very well be a part of Zazen, but having tools that allow you to hold your posture are invaluable. This set will surely do just that. Highly recommended!

This set exceeded expectations right out of the box. I'm 5 foot 10 inches and it fits perfect. Taller folks might need a larger size for the zabuton cushion aspect. The only problem with this is both my cat and my son have taken it over. I guess that means I might have to buy ones for them. It is has been funny to watch how they adapt it. I can tell this piece might cause me to ditch some chairs in the living room. Goes great with a nice floor rug and a yoga mat in front of it. Love it.

Attracts lint, fabric not as high quality as I’d ideally like but a very good value—excellent construction. Simple and attractive design.

Really great quality! Bought as a gift for my 6' boyfriend and he finds it very comfortable. Plenty of room for his legs and the cushion is large enough firm enough for him to sit high and protect his tight hips. Fabric is thick and I would expect this to last. I would definitely order this set again.

This was exactly the combo I was looking for. Zafu likely needs some extended use to break in but for me was perfect off the bat. I get like it really helped with comfort and posture. Good materials.

Right out of the box this cushion was comfortable, and even though I have some back pain problems, I found that I don't need back support when using this setup. I'm able to sit cross-legged (5'8" fat-ish man) for 30 minute sits with no issue.

Exactly what I was hoping for. I had to take out a TON of the filling but i can just use it should I need to refill later. Pretty comfortable. I’m 5’9” and my knees almost go over the zabuton.
