I'm so very pleased to have the opportunity to comment on the Italian Proraso after shave and the full line of Proraso Italian shave products. First, I truly enjoy a wet shave. For me, it transforms the morning shave from just a daily routine to an enjoyable morning experience. It feels good. I begin with applying warm water to my face, then the Proraso pre shave. It feels great and establishes a smooth surface on your face. And has a great aroma. Then apply the Proraso shave soap with a shave brush spreading the thick lather over your face. Feels great and has wonderful but mild aroma. Then the shave, followed by an application of the Proraso after shave. This will leave your face feeling great and with a wonderful manly aroma. Absolutely the very best way to shave. A great to start each day.

Long story short, I'm 58 years old and have never had a better shave in my life, ever, than with Proraso shaving products. I recently stumbled across Proraso when the shaving soap I normally use was sold out on Amazon and boy am I glad I did. It is an amazing experience to use such high quality shaving soap and products. From the pre-shave cream, to the tubed shaving creme, to the after shave lotion, never before have I enjoyed such a close and comfortable shave. The pre-shave cream is amazing and sets the stage for a perfect shave. It gives an initial "freeze" of menthol and eucalyptus that invigorates and provides a base lubricity that really helps your razer glide. The tubed shaving cream is absolutely opulent in texture. So smooth and velvety, a pleasure to use, and a real luxury. The after shave lotion not only smells great but leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. I like the fact that the scent doesn't linger as I have cologne that I use if I wish to "wear" a scent. I use the "Refreshing" blend and love the menthol and eucalyptus properties of these products as they make shaving a pleasure and leave my skin in excellent condition, feeling great. I am definitely a Proraso customer for life!

After a lot of experimentation I've arrived at Proraso green as my aftershave of choice. Like all Proraso products, the price to performance ratio is unmatched. This stuff smells and performs as well as anything twice it's price.When applied to freshly shaved skin the first thing you'll feel is that familiar alcohol burn. It's not as intense as other brands but it will let you know if you were a little rough on your face during your shave. That burn quickly gives way to a nice tingle that then turns into an ice cold menthol blast. Your face will be almost numb and any razor rash will be stopped dead in it's tracks. Those with an aversion to menthol will want to avoid this, it's a real eye opener! You won't need coffee after a jolt of this stuff in the morning! If you overdo it it can be pretty intense but if your shave technique is sound and you don't drown yourself in it you'll be rewarded with a nice icy cool tingling feeling.The smell is great as well. It smells very fresh and clean. The menthol and eucalyptus is present in the aroma and overall it just has a nice clean and fresh scent. It's hard to describe an aroma in print but suffice to say it smells very green! Like any good aftershave the smell settles down nicely after a short while so you won't reek like a used car salesman and it shouldn't interfere with your cologne of choice. Myself, I don't wear cologne because I'm a chef and perfume is frowned upon in a kitchen. I love that I can enjoy the effects of a quality aftershave as well as it's great scent knowing it will dissipate enough before I get to work. The scent doesn't disappear entirely mind you, you just won't reek to high heaven. Someone would have to get close to really smell it. And speaking of that, my wife loves the smell too!It also has wonderful moisturizing properties for an alcohol based splash. After it absorbs in it feels like your skin was moisturized with a creamy type lotion. No drying at all like a lot of splashes.After a dose of Proraso aftershave my skin feels healthy and grateful. Treat yourself to something nice an pick up a bottle!

Great scent and nice soothing effect after 10 seconds.But there are 3 negatives:1) Right after you apply it you have a pretty burst of pain on the skin you just shaved. Probably due to alcohol in it.2)If you apply it close to eye, even on the cheek, your eye will be teary from menthol for a while3)If you apply close to lips and touch it with a tongue, a very bitter taste will pursue you for a while

(I'm 26 and my skin is a bit sensitive with shaving)- Absorbs quickly- Very nice scent, quite subtle as well- Satisfying sting on any areas that may have cuts (about one second, cool and fresh feeling after)- Skin feels quite nice post-applicationI've never used a product like this, only balms in the past. They generally make my skin a bit oily as I have combo skin, so I wanted to try a splash like this. Very pleased with it so far. Skin feels hydrated but isn't oily, it absorbs very quickly, and it seems like it'll last for a while.TL;DR - It's very nice and insanely easy to apply. Highly recommend!

Great stuff. Nice light, manly scent. It refreshes my face after shaving and keeps it smooth and bump free.

Good afternoon shave, will buy again, but it does not exactly match the smell of the matching proraso soap, the aftershave has a less eucalyptus smell, more menthol.
