Used on trip to Europe. Have to remove otter box to mount on iPhone 6. Set up is ok. View is only at set distance of user lenses. No zoom operation. Fun to try.

I am pleased at the power and clarity of the zoom.I will have to admit that for years I thought the add-on camera lenses for your smart phone were just a gimmick. Until I saw a friend use one and I was rather impressed with her results.This zooms lens kit is perfect for the amateur photographer. The setup is incredibly easy.The bluetooth remote works great and paired easily to my Galaxy Note8 & Galaxy S7. There is no app, it is just "connect & click". But if your camera is zooming and not snapping a pic after you paired the remote, do this: Go into the cam settings and turn "off" the option for using the volume buttons as zoom. Then it will behave as expected.The bluetooth button method is new to me, I never knew such a thing existed for a phone. But now I see why it's important. Like a telescope, the zoom lens once zoomed in, is very sensitive to movement. Even just tapping the screen can have a huge impact on the stability of your image. The remote allows you to snap a pic without touching the device and losing focus.I also found that after spending a little time centering the lens into the bracket perfectly gave pretty good results results. I had to take my phone out of my Spigen Tough Armour case...but it worked just fine.The zoom quality had a more clear picture than the regular digital zoom on my Galaxy Note8. I also like that I can fit this kit into my super compact camera bag without taking up much room. (pics of all the gear I can cram into there below).Not Nikon build quality but hey, it doesn't matter because this lens is thrifty and gives good results without much effort, this is a fun device to have. I am by no means a professional photographer. So basic quality gear in a small compact bag is perfect for our day trip adventures.PROS:- Very portable- Zoom gives good results- Easy setup- Bluetooth button is cleverCONS:- Bluetooth controller instructions aren't clear (but easy to figure out.)- Lens caps need a tether so I don't lose themAdditional Thoughts.-Have a light touch and use the remote and make sure whatever your smartphone is sitting on is stable. because once zoomed in, it's easy to pick up vibrations.- I should have bought the kit that had more lenses included because now I want to try them.

I was not happy with this purchase. It’s packing is slightly deceiving. Everything seems like high quality when you look at the box but after setting it up it just seems more cheap vs. light weight. I’m sure there are better products out there worth the extra money

I recently bought this telephoto lens for a trip I was taking to Kenya. The pictures I have included were taken with my OnePlus3 smartphone and this telephoto lens. These animals were 100-150' away. The cape buffalo is a very crisp and clear picture. I included the other picture to show you first the quality of the picture but secondly to show how important it is to align the camera on your phone. If you don't align it correctly you'll get the dark curved portion in your picture. It isn't hard to align it but it can be a bit tedious and take a few minutes to get it just right. However, once you have it where you want it there is a screw that will tighten the lens on the phone and prevent it from shifting. The lens also come with a holder for your phone so you can mount the phone with lens on a standard tripod to ensure steady shots. The pictures above were taken handheld. Additionally the lens comes with a Bluetooth remote so you can take a picture without touching the phone/lens thus helping you to get that great shot. I was on a hill taking pictures of the Mara river in the distance. Several oriental guys came around and were admiring the telephoto lens. I thought that was a great testimony to this product. The third picture is one I took from the hill of the river. I estimate that I was at least a half mile away.

This lens is better than one I had purchased a few years ago, but with the type of case I am using for my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, the lens doesn't fit snuggly against the cellphone housing so I cannot get good clear focusing...I suspect it works better than what I have personally experienced

Stability is a must because any movement of the phone/lens shows up. Also you need light. it is like taking an area the size of a penny and making as large as a 11 inch balloon and then having to fill the large balloon area with only the amount of light coming from penny area.This is a common problem with any telephoto les system.

Directions very limited and have not been able to put it together and see if it works. Can't tell anything about the picture quality, since I've been unable to use it! A waste of my money!

As advertised. Works well, fits easily but if you dont have really steady hands use the tripod. Good though, didnt regret.
