It works if you are satisfied with a QT file format. To view it in a dvd player, you will need to convert the file to MP4 with another application like Handbrake. Also, for Mac High Sierra 10.13.6, I needed to download the updated driver not included on the cd but available on the website.

I have two other A/D converters to compare this unit to and the digitizing quality is not good. I switched out the RCA cables, to see if that was the issue as well as watched the signal coming in while holding all connections tight. No change. Specifically, there were digital artifacts and distortion across the top of the converted video file. I used the same source tape and VCR with my two older converters and the files looked just fine. I returned this item to Amazon no problem there.

I bought Narvitech capture device to convert 10 family VHS tapes and around 20 family mini DV tapes. I used bundled Cyberlink PowerDirector 12 to convert all the tapes and it worked great on my 64-bit Windows 10 computer. I uploaded my digitized video clips on my Facebook timeline and it was pretty nice to share those old VHS memories with your family and friends.

This is the only product that I have found that will work with the newest software update in my Mac! It was so simple to use and worked like a charm for converting old VHSs to digital.

I have been able to use this to make copies of my vhs home videos and it was fairly straightforward using the accompanying software. The unit runs somewhat warm but it doesn't appear to affect the quality of the copies. I am quite satisfied with this unit!

This product worked flawlessly when converting my live action VHS tapes, but ALL 2D animated features were plagued with a bar of discoloration across 1/4 of the top of the video. I cannot recommend this for converting cartoon/animated VHS tapes to digital files because of this massive flaw with the product.

Worked great on a PC with Windows 10 and Windows XP Pro. I would recommend this Video capture device to anyone who wants an easy to install and use process at a good price. I used Wondershare DVD creator software to create the DVD.

Initially I couldn’t access the Mac driver online, the website is very confusing. I emailed Narvitech and they responded same day w a link to the driver. This works so well and is so easy to set up!!
