I bought a used ROG Ally with a broken left stick, only registering up and down as reported by other Ally users. The right stick wasn’t broken but also didn’t feel as smooth as I liked, so I replaced them both at the same time. After recalibrating both sticks in Armory Crate, I can confirm they both work as good as new! Cheap and easy fix and the included tools were of nice enough quality that I’ll keep them around for any similar jobs.

Worked as intended and now I have an extra stick, plus the tools for future projects. Thank you.

These replacements work great! Install was easy, immediately fixed the issue I was having. Worth noting, after install and full function, a windows update installed and restarted my Ally. When it rebooted, the stick drifted like crazy, but a quick calibration using Asus’ built in tool and everything was right as rain!

I dropped my ROG Ally (twice in about 10 minutes) and the right stick started drifting all the way left. I was nervous to send this into Asus due to the horror stories I've heard about their RMA procedures. There was also tiny crack on the case where I dropped it.Install is a little tricky and intimidating for the first time opening up the machine, but I didn't run into any problems. I also added the cooling back plate mod while I had it open (highly recommended), this also fixed the tiny crack. These joysticks feel better quality than the stock ones. I may end up replacing the other at some point when I upgrade the SSD NVMe.I would suggest taking the time to watch several YouTube tutorials before getting into it and make sure you do it in a static free zone. Probably not a job for beginners, due to how expensive these little machines are.

It's exactly what it says on the box. Comes with the tools you need, works as well as you'd hope for a product this cheap, and hasn't broken yet. So, yeah, good stuff. I should probably buy some spares for when they eventually do give out, as all standard potentiometer joysticks eventually do.

Fixed the glitching lag in controls

Item was in perfect condition and worked amazingly!

It's in the nature of the joysticks to fail at some point, couldn't bother returning it so I disassembled completely and tinkered. Even then, it didn't work as well as the one in good condition. The tools included are nice though.
