Perfect gift for my Grandson
After researching different globes for my 8 yr. old grandson, I chose this one because it lights up and for the 12" size. I thought the 9" was too small. The plug for the light detaches so you don't have to have the cord on all the time. I was pleasantly surprise as was my grandson and family members. He had been asking for a globe and this one was a perfect gift for him.

Easy to Read and Nicely Lit
Bought this for my son who put his previous globe in the bath, causing parts of the earth to peel away like a gruesome, post-apocalyptic nightmare. This one is electrified, so definitely keep your son (or daughter) from putting it in water. That said, the globe is well-made for the price, and the light is very strong, which enables easy reading and a pleasant nighttime glow in a child's room as he or she drifts off to sleep in the light of a world that is still intact.

I compared and liked this one.
Graphics, print and smooth surface very nice as the LED lighting makes for an attractive globe. The globe does not spin freely and one must hold the wooden base to turn the globe with the other hand. That's okay by me and maybe a plus. The ONLY reason to subtract a star was the big bold band at the equator.

Great and functional
I purchased this for my classroom and it did not disappoint. It is beautiful when lit but also a great tool to utilize when not in use. However, it is a usb plug so make sure to have one handy.

Nice
My girlfriend loved it! It was for her kids and is getting plenty of use. Good quality and good fit. It was a bit small but not a big issue. the base was really a nice touch.

Very Satisfied
Bought this for my 3 year old grand daughter so she could see the world in 3 dimensions. She loves it. Her parents show her places she's been, and places they are planning to travel to. Very educational.

Very nice illuminated globe!
Very nice globe. Not too big. Inner lighted feature is very nice. It illuminates the entire globe, so it's easy to see everything! The base is also nice. Nice item.

I'm changing my prior review. The globes did include the charging cord. The globe is awesome.
